Poll also shows Anas Sarwar more popular than Nicola Sturgeon now. Can't imagine many predicting that 6 months ago.

Think the poll shows that more people just don’t know who he is but you read it your way.

How you you judge popularity. How many like you, the net, how little dislike you. Most go with net.

It's fair to say the linesman is disliked. People have an opinion either way about NS it seems

"Anas Sarwar is now more popular than Nicola Sturgeon, according to a new opinion poll.

The Scottish Labour leader came top of the popularity contest weeks after securing second place at the council elections - his party’s strongest showing in years."

I could add lots of laughing emojis but that would be kind of childish, so I won't.

The problem with that is the 'don't knows' only 6% for NS but 27% don't know who Sarwar is, the same number who 'dissapprove' of him

His strongest showing for years! 46%!!!! not even 50%

Doesn't mean they don't know him but don't choose approve or disapprove. Harvey has 37% without an opinion but still a large 30% dissapprove.

Sarwar has best approval rating, but I still think Sturgeons is decent seeing as she has led for so long

Says it all when a tory voter is reduced to promoting a Labour leader to score a point. There really is nothing to choose between the parties.

There is something to choose between them saying there isn't is just wrong. Yes they are pathetic in working together to get councils ect. Starmer has brought the party very centre swaying into the right. The tories are full right wing. Snp are very centre left, verging on new labour territory

Not necessarily when a huge number dislike you. But that comes with being the incumbent for so long

Pretty extraordinary article here from Tobias Ellwood, where he argues we should rejoin the single market to ease the cost of living crisis, even if it means accepting EU regs and freedom of movement.

Is anyone else in his party going to back this idea

If you find standards in public life impossible to meet, just change the rules. Why isn't the process totally independent? No PM should be able to reduce public standards to his own gutter level ethics.

12 years, cost of £3.2 billion, not a single vehicle deployed, soldiers discharged due to health problems caused by testing and delays are a risk to national security.

Daily updates I'm sure. Intriguingly the media aren't taking the party political angle with quotes from every opposition leader sticking the boot in, it's simply the MOD's fault.

When a Conservative prime minister is being booed by monarchists, waving Union Jacks at a thanksgiving service for the Queen, the party has a serious problem.

I'd be happier about Boris getting booed if I didn't suspect the majority of the crowd weren't having days out from mental institutions throughout the country.

Yes, a Royalist crowd booing a Tory PM. That means he and his party have big problems.

I can’t imagine it being true. Now or anytime soon.

Labour haven’t enough significance in this country, even if he had the potential to be pretty popular.

It's not true, he is on 46% approval compared to sturgeon on more than 50%. The way he is twisting it is that 27% disapprove of Sarwar and another 27% couldn't care enough. Whereas all the unionists polled disapprove of sturgeon
