I find it hard to watch the news just now but huge kudos to all involved in this effort. If our government had 1 ounce of the compassion shown by Stevie et al our world would be a safer and much more humane place.

Stevie Carr and Dnipro Kids have just been mentioned in the House of Commons today.
I had the Parliament tv channel on in the background so I only got the gist of what was said. Pete Wishart, Stevie's constituency MP, explained what Stevie has been doing, and asked the Leader of the House during business questions if all remaining bureaucracy could be removed so that the orphans can get to Scotland.
Pete has already written to Patel but has not yet received a reply. The Leader undertook to follow this up and ensure Pete gets a speedy response.
Brilliant. Fingers crossed.

Fingers crossed indeed...💚
Brilliant news that the word is getting out there and can only be good for the kids. But, you can't help but feel anger and frustration with the UK government and the snails pace they are moving at...
Top job from the Dnipro team.👏💙💛

BBC Scotland news are covering the story and have a journo waiting on the Polish side of the border. None of the Kids will have passports so might prove a stumbling block due to the Tory government being slow to react to the fluid situation.
Well done Stevie and all concerned.
Hibs fans were mentioned in the BBC Scotland report.

Absolutely brilliant. Now for the rest of them 🤞-
I really hope one day they can all be welcomed at Easter Road. They all look so happy, amazing considering what they must’ve been through already in their short lives.
Well done to all involved with Dnipro Kids, a real good news story from a dire situation.

Brilliant news.
Dnipro was hit last night."...when Hibs won the Scottish Cup final and that celebration, Sunshine on Leith? I don’t think there’s a better football celebration ever in the game.”

What an effort by everyone involved. Really does bring home how precious life is. So happy for the kids.
Really hope we can somehow get them to Scotland without all the red tape.

This may be a wee story within the bigger picture but all the wee stories add up to make the bigger picture. It is our reaction to these stories that separate us from that narcissistic megalomaniac anus.

I’ve just watched the clip from last night’s news. Stevie and the rest of the volunteers are absolute heroes. Seeing those kids’ happy faces, after what must have been a torturous time for them, shows what great work Dnipro Kids are doing, and how strong those kids are. Massive well done to everyone involved.

I watched the news clip and read all the info on here.
Is it too early or presumptuous to suggest that Stevie and the Dnipro Kids organisation should be inducted as honorary members of Hibs Hall of Fame? This story should go down in the annals of our history alongside all the great teams, players and games.

Great shout and there’s not a cause more deserving of such an honour.
The work they’ve done for the kids of Dnipro is really quite humbling.

Genuinely in awe of the work that has gone on over the years in supporting these kids and particularly so in the last couple of weeks. If myself or my family ever found ourselves in such a situation I really hope a community of people I've never met from thousands of miles away show the same compassion and empathy.
The support from both the Hibs community and football rivals alike is quite special. All the noise, the moaning and the bickering is part and parcel of a forum, social media or a trip to the pub but when it really matters you see the good in people. I can only hope in the not too distant future we are fundraising to get these kids back home.PM Awards General Poster of The Year 2015, 2016, 2017. Probably robbed in other years

What is sadly unfolding now in Dnipro and the suffering thats going on throughout the Country of Ukraine is nothing short of barbarism.
There are now millions of Ukranians in neighbouring Countries who may never see their homes again.
But in one,no small effort in the mass of all this, a group of caring people from our fair land, with courage, selflessness and gut determination may well have saved, and most certainly changed the lives of some who have had more than their share of suffering.
I salute them all
There's class, there's first class, and there's Dnipro Kids class !!

Just saw the report on the BBC 6 o'clock news. Well done guys, simple succinct answer to the question of what the government needs to do to allow Ukrainians into the UK - do it quickly and make it easy.
