Loads at Ingliston and Pyramids w/c 27th if that's any good to you.

Was having a look just now getting ready for tomorrow morning. It actually would have let me book mine tonight but I would have felt bad doing that.
It was more for my youngest one, was due to get the booster a few weeks ago, but she had covid and had to wait 4 weeks. I’d rather she got it sooner than later

Same for me, but it's now 7 months since my second dose and I'm almost 40 - and there was only 1 available slot at my local vaccination centre in the coming days - so I went ahead and booked it.

I think the news a few days ago that two doses of AstraZenica provided next to no protection against Omicron has spooked me a bit, so glad to be getting the booster.

Anyone else unable to order later flow tests online?

Just tried to order another pack and got a message saying 'no tests are available in your area at this time'. Tried to order to my parents address and got the same.

Got a couple left in the house but with cases running rampant through the nursery, a day out on Saturday planned and Hampden on Sunday as well as still working in the office it would be good to have a few more.

Can't do what is asked of me if I can't get the hardware.

It's not there. If you select 40-49 or any other option it will allow you to book though.

I decided against it but know a few people in their 30s who have appointments having booked this way tonight. I'm probably being a bit daft not just doing the same really. 8am tomorrow morning and 6pm tonight isn't jumping the queue that much but I'm funny about stuff like that.

You get them from PCR test centres. Hear what you are saying about schools. There were 10 cases in my son's class last week (just Delta I think). Its definitely spreading significantly through young kids now and I suspect schools will end up closing early for Christmas.

I suspect they are also going to have to vaccinate 5 year olds plus as well before we getting closer to normal.

I'm double vaccinated and had my booster booked a while ago but have got it and my 4 year old daughter isn't too well with it (she's had a really bad history with respiratory viruses).

The rate of infection with Omicron of 18-30 yos in London is massive. Apparently 70% of cases in London om. Rate here growing fast too, the speed it's going only vaccines done before new year will count. Could easily cancel last week of primary school, its just a piss about before Christmas at that age

Just looked for appointments for boosters and cant see any availability until between Xmas and new year.

Thought I'd be able to get one quicker than that..

I'd book one for then and just keep checking. They are always adding new appointments so if something becomes available sooner you can just book that and cancel your other one.

I just had my booster today and it was always about a 10 day wait or there about before you could get an appointment.

It’s worth checking for any cancellations on the day as well, I managed to get in for today rather than the 21st just looking this morning.

I’ve noticed in England from Tuesday providing you are double jabbed and tested negative from a PCR test you don’t need to isolate if you’ve been a close contact of the new variant…providing you take a LFT every day for the next 7 days.
Surely to **** Sturgeon will follow suit with this to save thousands self isolating for **** all?

We only need to isolate if its a household member. If its non household close contact and your double jagged then you isolate til you get a neg pcr

That's going to be some serious logistical challenge.

He's a classic over promise, under deliver type but if this happens I'll be grudgingly impressed (even though he'll have had **** all to do with the practical elements).

If the modelling is anywhere near correct, they won't, they'll have to wait 4 weeks following infection.

    Deflection tactic, nothing else.

As expected. Target of everyone over 18 vaccinated by year end, non urgent appointments cancelled to facilitate it, 4 nation approach with support to the devolved governments available from the treasury. Military mobile units operational, vaccine centres hours extended, new volunteers to be trained up.

Got to say I am sick of all this. The language used over the past 3 days by the FM, the health minister and John Swinney is frankly a disgrace. They have a job to proportionately and calmly guide us through this.

Yet the “tsunami of infections “ and “rip right through” the population language when they have no concrete evidence on the impact and vaccine and immunity effectiveness. Is in my opinion scare mongering on a level we haven’t seen before. My kids are now asking how it will Impact us all, them with school, friends, doing stuff.

I don't think it was. There was a fair bit of detail in there as to how they intend to go about things.

I don't for a second think it will happen, 18M people in 19 days in England alone is a huge undertaking, but there was something suggesting a plan there.
