Liz Truss standing on her podium blabbing on about how her party is "standing up for freedom and democracy". While they take every measure they possibly can to crush freedom and democracy.

I don't think I've seen a politician so uncomfortably out of their depth. Cringeworthy viewing.

Douglas Ross asked by Martin Geissler on BBC to list Johnson's attributes. Refused to give any.

He really should have asked Murray Ross.

To say he refused is a bit unfair on the man, I mean, could you name any good attributes of Johnson?

Surely in today's vernacular that's known as gaslighting: making one doubt one's own sanity and sense of reality. Standing up for freedom and democracy; how about the new crime bill?

Johnson will be gone once the party determines he's soaked up as much bad press as possible, then whoever comes in will be given a clean slate and their numbers will go right back up again.

The torys have absolutely aced how to say one [good] thing in public while legislating the exact opposite and taking the unthinking public along with them dreaming of sunlit uplands.

That decision has already been made I think. The media decides who the British Prime Minister is, they have a timetable in mind, they’ve had these photos for a year, they’ve chosen their moment. They do what they need to do to protect their interests as billionaires. Its quite depressing when you think about it.

The Mirror's had this stuff for a year? They've sat on it that long and risked losing a scoop?

Who knows? But that footage hasn’t just been stumbled upon accidentally now and released in a spirit of speaking truth to power. If the establishment wanted Boris to stay on that footage would have never have come to light.

Couldn't it just be a staffer pissed off at Johnson for being blamed? After Johnson made his pitifully self-serving defence at PMQs, Robinson on R4 commented that bad things happen to bosses who don't stick up for their staff...

BBCs Nick Robinson, ex chair of Oxford UnisYoung Conservatives before he got into journalism?

You could of course be right, and it’s an easy trap to fall into, to see conspiracy everywhere, when sometimes it’s just a straightforward political
stab in the back from one of your colleagues.

The same. All sorts of worms have begun to turn. Kuenssberg even asked Johnson a mildly awkward question! I know!

Truss didn't though. She must be firm favourite to take over from Johnson. Prime Minister Liz Truss
I was astonished to see earlier in the week that this is even a possibility, she’s genuinely seen as a major contender. Johnson to Truss would be a never before seen low for this country.

The unfortunate link is Eddie Mair. Ripped Johnson to shreds, then he got made PM. Here's what he did to Truss, then she got made Foreign Secretary. A bad omen!
