    It's just a colour mate
Would you like us to have maroon seats dotted around the stadium as 'its just a colour'.

Colour's are important to football clubs.

That's just a silly comparison no one would want that because of a football reason, not a non football mental one

But he did have a purple reign. 😉
There is no such thing as too much yarn, just not enough time.

    Not a very coherent argument.

    Silly?

I gave a valid reason for not wanting purple in my opinion. Its you who stated your random love for 'purple' seats to be dotted around the stadium not me.

Its Green and White for me not purple.

Purple, while not one of our primary colours, is still a colour we can relate to as Hibs fans. Used multiple times for strips etc. Comparing that to maroon is a tad mental.

I've never related purple as being a hibs fan. Its Green and White for me. No likey purple. How hard is that to understand? My opinion - imo.

Of course it’s green and white primarily, but we have had purple strips, and very popular ones at that. You brought up maroon as a comparison, couldn’t be further from it.

I'm not a Real Madrid supporter so will not. I'm a Hibernian Supporter who does not like the colour purple due to it being an empirical ruler dictator colour. I take it many disagree with me. Who would have known?

And I'd take any one of them apart from purple. Purple imo has empirical connotations okay. Its my opinon - imo okay.

Green and White for me. Sky Blue and white for our host country Scotland thereafter imo.

    People really over-think this ****.
The bottom line for me is if it looks good go for it.

I think purple was limited in use as it was extremely expensive dye, not necessarily the de facto choice of empirical ruler dictators, but because they could afford it. I reckon it’s probably been cheap to mass produce since before Hibs were formed so see no reason why we shouldn’t use it.

However, it’s ultimately a matter of preference as to what colour folk like, no more no less.

But apart from putting you off purple, what have the Romans ever done for us?
Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

Actually in Scotland at least, as far back as the 1600s, purple was one of the most popular colours of the very lowest classes. This was due to it being the easiest/cheapest dye to produce.

(The only reason I know this is because of a source analysis I had to do for an Early Modern Scotland exam at uni)

    Gotcha.

Plenty Gaelic who fought very hard against the romans way back when and still hate their harsh empiricism.

Actually the opposite. Purple was the most difficult to manufacture therefore seen as the ruling classes colour. Elitist empire.

I like the green seats at ER, but a bit of text in the East wouldn't go amiss.

For what it's worth, I think the seats at the Tokyo stadium are very well done.

Don't get it. Why would we spend money to make our ground look like Minecraft when it's empty.

Because if stadium is half full it looks pretty full, rather than have obvious blocks of colour
