Neighbour who comes out and wants to chat every time I go out to do something to the car, garden or anything!! I’m polite I’ll say hello to you, help you if you have a problem but I’m not your best mate. So just stay inside your own home and let me get on with my task!!!

Is that not just being antisocial and ignorant? I’m not one for small talk, but if any of my neighbours stop to chat I always try and make time.

We had a guy in our football team who compulsively said everything he was about to do just before he did it. "Walking to car, putting the key in the lock, turning the key, opening the door and getting in the car". Apparently it started when his therapist told him to do it as a way of combating his stutter, but it became compulsive. We didn't let him take penalties.

About 25 years ago my wife worked in our local shop and would chat with every customer.
She tells a great tale of a guy coming in one day and buying 6 cans of lager and a gentleman's top shelf magazine 😉.... She opened the conversation with "Quiet night in on your own is it?"

Thanks for identifying yourself. You must be the guy that parked in my drive, went round to the rear passenger side door, took out a bottle, dropped his trousers and proceeded to relieve himself in full view of my living room window (unbeknown to him!!)

He could have stopped 50m before, in a fairly secluded lay-by, but no, he decided to park in the middle of the small hamlet instead!!! At least he took it away with him, unlike the parents who stopped in my drive, changed their child's nappy and left it beside the fence!!! (I caught up with them and returned it with pleasure!!)

I feel your pain, as you get older it's harder to keep it in, I drive a taxi and try not to drink too much when working, thankfully all the hotels are open for business again.
