I my 35 years and change watching Hibs v **** - we have won, we have lost we have drawn.

Why are we bothered by a team that have a smaller stadium, don’t own their own training complex, haven’t won the league cup in my life time (I have seen it twice), we are the most recent team to win the Scottish cup.

They are a decent team but do not deserve the level of attention we afford them.

It’s a big day for them and they have made a big fuss. It’s natural that we might comment on it.

Fan owned...but none of the actual fans will get a say in anything

To be fair, we don’t know that for sure yet do we? I would expect some sort of documentation to be released in the near future describing what exactly it all means for them. I would imagine it means that at least, as a minimum, another Vlad cannot happen again without some sort of vote?

Meanwhile, they’ve achieved what they wanted. Good or bad remains to be seen. Let’s hope we skelp them in a couple of weeks so we can sit back and see what unfolds.

Both Budge and, I think, Brian McGlaughlin, stressing that she is handing over the reins while Hearts are top of the league. The discussion elsewhere on here about them claiming to be on top was a bit churlish, I thought, but since they want to make a big deal of it, sod them, they are second top.

Agreed. So sick reading all these Edinburgh sports reporters hailing Hearts' fan ownership. Where were they all when Hearts were spending 120% of their turnover on wages? Where were they when blatant money laundering seemed to be taking place in the west of the city? These Edinburgh reporters are complicit in the downfall of Hearts, and there's not a peep about the wrongdoing in the Vlad years. Selective memory indeed.
