England v Italy you would think would be a great final.

Denmark beat and drew England recently though so that should be interesting game. Home advantage definitely important though.
Denmark will defo give England a game. Said before I think they have a bit of bite after what happened with Eriksen. Ferdinand and Co will have England as winners, the others sides will also fancy their chances.

On what basis? Italy should destroy England based on performances in this tournament so far.
    Destroy 😂

It's amazing how easy a run England have had to the final. If they don't win this competition they will never get a better chance. Us Hibs fans know it doesn't always work like that though.

Ah the easy run to the final chat…….again. The usual comfort blanket nonsense when England are doing well.

In the group stages they beat the teams we failed to be beat including the previous finalists and then they had Germany, who they hadn't beaten since some event in the mid-sixties. Failing to see how that is amazingly easy?

If England do win it, they will have beaten every team in the tournament on their way bar one, then I'm invoking the traditional Scottish logic and declaring us Joint European Champions.

Having all but one game at Wembley does make it a little easier for them...

Of course and if they win it that can be the reason why it wasn’t such an achievement, easy draw, home games blah blah blah.

Scotland will be due part of the cup through the Barnett Formula

Ukraine, Denmark, the worst Germany in history, all but one game at Wembley... surely you must see it's been an easy route to the final

It is true though. Compare Italy's run of games to England's.

Still, like I said earlier, you can only beat what's put in front of you, and they are doing very well on that front! With all games at home from here on in, they are rightly favourites to win now.

No it’s tournament football, no easy games, you have included Denmark who we haven’t even played yet, did they have an easy route to the semi final too? We always seem to beat a team who just happen to be the worst team in their history too!

This is quite obviously very true on this occasion. Add to the permanence of being at Wembley.

They really have no excuse this time.

Inclined to agree with you, though the Wembley advantage has been huge. Having said that, you need to make that home advantage count, which England have done well (and we did terribly).

Denmark will possibly be the toughest test yet - they're a very good side and they're still clearly galvanised by what happened to Eriksen. Still, it's a very talented young English team and they shouldn't be afraid of any of the remaining 3 teams.

England have been fortunate the way the tournament has panned out but to be fair apart from home ties and the reintroduction of fans other aspects have been outwith their control, they along with other sides including Italy and Spain are teams in transition and are progressing well.

England have a great squad. They should be reaching the semi final. Southgate is a likeable bloke not the arrogant type that usually manages them They played well against Ukraine and actually played some football. I can see and appreciate all that BUT I really struggle to watch anything to do with the Euros or indeed any news programme at present as their brilliance gets rammed down your throat on every news despatch. I want to watch the news and football but can't with the sound off. So as usual I've tried to watch the tournament from a fair perspective and admire the football and as ever I'm now back in the ABE box that the "British" media has pushed me to.
I've lots of English friends and would be happy for them but selfishly I can't face the avalanche of media noise that will come with a win. I should be a bigger and better person but I can't be.

    9k fans v 40k fans makes a difference.

Nobody is saying home advantage is the only reason, but it is 100% a contributing factor for England.

Im just perplexed how both semis AND final are at Wembley.

Definitely not the worst Germany in history. 2004 and 2018 teams easily worse.

England have had a favourable draw, but actually they always had to play 2nd from the France, Germany, Portugal group, so it didn't exactly look easy then.

This is not the first time a host nation has gone far in a tournament.

Add in the fact England want the World Cup hosted in England in 2030 hence why they are trying to show off Wembley again and all the UEFA delegates are coming across.

England can only beat what's been put in front of them. Think they are improving with every game. Actually like southgate, think he comes across really well. Brilliant squad who I personally think will win the tournament now.

They also have some incredible young players coming through the system.

Again all down to a strategy and a lot of money they invested in infrastructure. Sadly Scotland are miles behind the English set up.

Amazingly, Denmark will be the highest ranked team England will have faced yet.

If they win the trophy, every team they'll have played will have been ranked below them.

TBF it’s pretty easy to play teams below you when you are ranked 4th in the world and 3rd is Brazil. Bar Belgium and France (who are both out) EVERY team is ranked lower than them.

England have a very good side, but given that they avoided Belgium, France, Italy, Portugal and Spain and only had to face very poor Germany and Ukraine sides, suggesting that they've had an easier run is pretty accurate, no?
