Surely nobody who's paid any attention to Serie A in the past couple of years is surprised by how good this Italian side are?

The game is for quality footballers, not hackers and kickers. As it should be. Clear red.

Sometimes think that some folk would be better going to watch MMA.

We watch football for the football talent. Not to see how ‘hard’ folk are. Facebook comments sections are incredible for this.

This is what football is all about.

2 teams getting stuck into each other, attacking, trying to win the game.

There’s enough tepid, cautious, conservative crap these days that makes it brilliant to watch a couple of teams of this standard going at it.

Not just the beautiful game either. There are some nice wee gamesmanship subplots that are adding to it as well.

You have to fancy it's the winner of this versus England in the final

Italy looking more likely for sure

Yeap, there’s a bit of everything in this one. Loving it.

Totally compelling, Italy in particular have been simply brilliant but Belgium still offer a threat.

The ref has been a better defender than the Belgians at times. He's always in the way when the Italians are building around the box.

Gutted for Spinazzola, he’s had a brilliant tournament, will be a miss for them if they qualify.

Seeing what happens when you put silly demands on players. Dropping like flies. Only going to get worse with the mid season world cup.

Is this last chance saloon for Belgium to win a major tournament? If not this one then the WC next year may be. A lot of guys in that squad 30+.

They remind me a bit of the Portugal team that had Figo, Rui Costa, Nuno Gomes etc in it. They will always be close but never quite get across the line.

Yup. 28 though, can’t see him going anywhere.

Also, he’s right footed so playing on the wrong side.

Belgium left back looks a very good player.

    Definitely.

They won’t have another crop like this.

They may manage to stretch it out to the World Cup but they will only be in the top 8 or so teams by that point I reckon.

After that they’ll be nowhere near.

Is Andy Murray winning mate? Youre missing a cracker!
Nope and well beaten , Andy looks about 44 rather than 34, afraid his hip & age are against him now.

Surprised not one big club in Europe has came in for Insigne. Under-rated player.

To be honest I think they are over the top now. Been a greaat team though but filed under never fulfilled their true potential I think. Its been a great game but italy have always been in the boss seat for me, so much quality on the pitch, cue a Belgium equaliser.

I want to say Man Utd have tried a few times?

30 now so he’ll be going nowhere:
