It will be the home fans doing the gas sounds, used to love ajax / feyenoord derbies...

Alex Harris went to a fee paying school and no one seemed bothered at the time. Not sure what the issue with these two young lads is, rich or not.

Doesn't matter where you come from it's what you do in your own life that matters and these kids are obviously trying to kick on themselves.

I’m hearing that Jake Doyle-Hayes is signing for Hibs. Move to Dundee Utd off.

He will have a stadium full of his own fans making the gas noises towards the perceived Jewish club. Will take a bit of getting used to I would say.

Hayes is 22 and a midfielder, possibly Hallberg or Mallan away, any idea what kind of player he is?

Always thought he was an attacking midfield player, At Mirren fans reckon he's a deep lying playmaker . They also think he a great first couple of months and has been murder since. So to answer your question I have no idea 😅

A midfielder or two must be leaving or not staying in Irvines case. It’s a position we are well stocked in.

Maybe instead of partnerships with Brighton and the rest which don't appear to produce any players for us, we should just have a partnership with St Mirren.

Jake Doyle Hayes is a good player.

St Mirren fans were waxing lyrical about him and were saying he was an upgrade on Magennis.

A proper ball playing centre mid.

I’d imagine him coming in means Mallan leaving.

Not the type of player I expected Ross to go for as a centre mid.

    Another St Mirren player 👀

That's a bit out of left field.

Probably more the fact Irvine is unlikely to be here. He’s not really a Mallan type.

Unless he's changing his tactical set up, maybe a 433.

Is he not a central midfielder?

I know we need to judge this player on his own merits and it sounds like he might be decent which is all that matters really.

I’m still going to admit I’m fed up signing ex-St Mirren players though.

I know that’s completely unreasonable and doesn’t stand up to any scrutiny really but I don’t care, it’s just what I think.

I don’t think he and Jack Ross were at St Mirren at the same time though…….but I get your point.

    Another St Mirren central midfielder.

    Underwhelming but not surprising.

St Mirren fans views on him - Funny how he is a brilliant player and then when he doesn’t sign a new context he’s not that good.

Everytime I've seen Doyle-Hayes, I've been impressed. Suspect that means Hallberg is away then

Let’s give the guy a chance, FFS he’s not even signed and people are moaning. Realistically what club/s should Hibs be signing players from? Outside of the Old Firm every player that’s doing well in Scotland should be a target for Hibs. Hibs also give players a good platform to play on in front of a decent crowd and the chance to move on to richer clubs.

and/or Irvine. The fact that Irvine is still in the HFC website first team squad is just lazy editing.

Similar to Jim Duffy signing all his pals from Dundee

That worked out well ....not !

    Edit:

St Mirren have a very decent scouting system in place and have produced a good number of youths. We seem to have good relationship with them since the McGinn transfer.

I'd be happy with JDH. Not least of all because we need another acronym in the team with SDG now retired.

Nearly said other St. Mirren players are available but we might have already signed them all
