20% of £30m is £6m, even with a 3rd going to St Mirren he’s still bagged Hibs a £7m fee.

It’s all relative but that’s pretty eye watering to me.
As a sum of money it’s eye watering to me too. But when S Bruce made the comment there was no talk of a 30m deal. SJM might have flopped at Villa and his next move may have been for peanuts. Hibs might have been getting enough to buy a set of bibs.
To me it’s clear that SB meant the percentage amount was ‘eye watering’. For me that would mean in excess of 20% to be described in those terms.

We wouldn’t get it all in Omer though, would be spread over the contract term
Omer? Is that one of these new crypto currencies?

Did we not get about £1M when they got promoted to prem ?
Not to my knowledge. Would that not have been in the accounts from last year?

This was covered at the AGM. Someone at the club said he'd checked the contract and it is a 15% sell on that we have. He also confirmed that we need to give 30% of that to St Mirren.

10, 15 or 20% with a further percentage to St M. Is hardly the ‘eye watering’ add on clause that Steve Bruce was quoted as saying at the time SJM was transferred. That would seem pretty standard or even at the low end of add on clauses.
The Steve Bruce eye watering stuff is a hibs.net FACT.

No idea why your being so arsey about it tbh, maybe SB had the foresight to see he would go for big money? With the fees being quoted and the money we get is certainly substantial and in our terms in the Scottish game pretty eye watering.

Hibernian FC can confirm defender Callum Yeats has completed a move to Queen's Park.

The 19-year-old, who worked his way through the Hibernian Academy, spent the 2020/21 campaign on loan at League Two side Stenhousemuir to gain valuable senior experience, and the newly-promoted Spiders were keen to add 'Scholesy' to their ranks for their bid to secure back-to-back promotions this coming term.

Sporting Director Graeme Mathie commented: “Callum has been at the Hibernian Academy from a young age and has always shown a great desire to be a professional player throughout his journey.

"He impressed in both his loan spells at Civil Service Strollers in the Lowland League and also at Stenhousemuir in League Two and to join an ambitious League One club is a great next step for him.

"Everyone at Hibernian wishes him every success for his career going forward and thanks him for at his efforts throughout his time at the club.”

Was it not confirmed at the AGM it is 15% with 30% of that going to St Mirren? Meaning Hibs get 10.5% and St Mirren get 4.5%.

Looks like some of you need to start paying attention at the AGM.

So many figures being quoted. Does anyone actually know for sure?!

Don’t think it helps when the owner and the FD say different things at the AGM. Go and read the thread, and then tell us what the real answer is

Yes - but everyone is busy debating a percentage sell on for a player who isnt even subject to a bid right now.

SJM was sold prior to Ron's tenure so it's not surprising that Ron was not 100% accurate with the transfer details. What is very refreshing is that the Board was very open about the sell on clause. Previously this detail would have been kept from us.

Was spoken about as a very good prospect. It's a strange one as he signed a new one-year contract extension in April this year.

Griffiths commenting on Scott Allans insta posts definitely means that Groffitshs is coming back to us, nothing to with the fact they were Celtic teammates. 100% it’s happening.

Edit: Potential for being the worst spelling of Griffiths ever seen on Hibs.bet but I’m leaving it.

New guy starts at Cellik on Thursday
A desperate Griffiths will be waiting on him.
Lawell will have marked his card.
Leigh to Hibs stories to start late next week.

They were talking about him on the radio the other day and said he was back training at Celtic early - trying to come back in better shape.

Callum was highly rated, one of the few the coaches thought had a real chance. We’ve got another young boy, 2 years younger than Scholsey, Jayden Fairley who can play the same position. Maybe they see him as a better prospect than CY
