It only means, regardless of tonight’s result, we can still get 3rd on Tuesday
Whether that would be enough for us to qualify though

Obviously waiting on the England Scotland game but worse case scenario for Scotland and they lose against England tonight then a win against Croatia will mean Scotland will finish third. Whether third will be enough with 3 points is a bit of a toss of a coin. Last time round two 3rd place teams qualified and two went out. You'd need a GD approaching 0.

There is no such thing as too much yarn, just not enough time.

If we're gonna qualify with 4 points, we need other 3rd place teams to finish with 3. France to win this and Portugal to beat Germany dies that for this group

  8. #1177
Switched on the English TV channels for the France v Hungary game only to listen to some guy I had never heard of talking about where England need to learn from last night.😂

This was in the midst of some serious French pressure but thankfully technology provides so many more choices there days.

    1-0 Hungary just before HT.

France should have already been out of sight.

Fantastic seeing a full stadium celebrating. I hope they do take the final to Hungary.

France have missed some chances so far. They have such a strong squad just now.

We were discussing whether this squad with Lloris Varane Mbappe Griezmann Dembele ****e Pogba, matches up against the 98 squad Viera Zidane Petit Deschamps Desailly. So much individual talent.

    He was holding his thigh.

Definite penalty at the end there, but credit to the mighty Magyars, nice for them to get something out of this group.

France were really poor. I'm beginning to think Scotland could go all the way now.

The Euros is usually a good tournament IMO, the quality of football is usually good and the teams tend to go for it. The World Cup tends to have too many teams sitting in.

Well done Hungary, really brave performance against a good team. France certainly didn't look unbeatable on that performance. They are quite reliant on Mbappe and his pace. He started out on the wing and got flattened a couple of times so moved into a more central role. Great player with great skill as well but I thought Hungary deserve a lot of credit for this, it was a good goal they scored too. France are quite an arrogant bunch so not bothered about them losing points. They'll still go through anyway.

Yep should have been two or three up at half time. Thought Pavard and Varane werent great.

Is there a scenario where England could fail to get out of the group if they lose to the Czechs and we beat Croatia, or is the 4 points they already have enough?

If they’ve got a weakness it’s Pavard on the right side.

I thought they looked disjointed. There's no doubt that if they fire on all cylinders they can beat anyone but I felt they were well short of that today. They played within themselves against Germany too. Unless they are saving thselves for the knockouts, I think this competition is going to be beyond them.
