Good write up about it on the fishy site, map of Edinburgh with the crest on Leith, fade to the emerald green. What's not to like?

What happened last time we wore white socks with the home kit? Anything but bad luck!

I think it looks naff and cheap and the map is a novelty idea that should have been binned at concept stage and looks like someone's kid has been scribbling all over the top.

Oh well! Let's see what the away top looks like...

Wonder what the idea behind the thistle was
May be nothing more than a Scottish Team thing but did Hibs not use the Thistle (and sometimes the Castle) as an occasional badge in the 50s and 60s?
Whatever the reason I like it's inclusion.

    I don’t mind it either, it wasn’t a criticism

more than happy with that. Well done Joma. If the rumours about the away and 3rd kits are to be believed we could all be in for an expensive few weeks ahead. Exciting stuff

Yes - his loan deal was with an obligation to buy, so here for another season as a Hibs player.

Last year my name on the strip, this year a map with my street on it. Maybe next year they will put a picture of my living room on it!

Very smart kit. If i had to pick one criticism though it would be the thistle on the back. Has heehaw to do with Hibs, quite tinpot. If they wanted a graphic there it should be something from the crest. Preferably the harp however I guess between the actual badge and the thistle it covers Leith, Ireland, Edinburgh and now Scotland.

Is the thistle not intrinsically linked to Edinburgh. Is the myth/legend that an invader stood on a thistle while sneaking up to the castle and alerted the castle holders to their presence? Or it could just be a Scottish symbol on a Scottish clubs strip? They never said on the article on the official site though.
That was the Battle of Largs when the norsemen tried to sneak up on the Scot's army and obe of them stood on a Thistle, let out a yelp and the defenders alerted

Kent it was something like that, I was never good at history. Thanks
