What makes him a "religious nutter"? Or do you just mean he's a nutter who happens to be religious?
Because his bawbaggery comes from following the words of a 2000 year old heavily redacted book. Also taking it literally believing the world is 4000 years old and gay people in love is abhorrent. Its dangerous his religious views can get legitimacy and influence by being part in control of a country. His horrible views didn't come from watching eastenders it came from the church he follows. If he was Islamic or amish I'd think the same

And just to add him being a bam is obviously nothing to do with the 99% of religious people that aren't nut jobs. Just thought it interesting one of the major parties in the UK ,are set to be lead by someone like that

Complete misrepresentation of his view. He said in 2007 that the earth was made in 4000BC, so it was about 6006 years old then and is about 6020 years old now.

Do apologies he's actually spot on then, still think gay people being heathens is a bit unfair though

...which is of course nonsense. The earth was created exactly 146 years ago.

Tories are untouchable in England. We only have one way out of this.

What do they have to do to lose points?

It’s Donald trump “shoot somebody on fifth Avenue and not lose a single vote” territory.

English Tory voters deserve all they get! Very close behind, maybe even more so, are Scottish voters who vote to preserve the union.

I agree, and it's depressing to see the polls on independence heading in favour of the union once again.

If it doesn't happen now then I doubt it ever will, certainly not in my lifetime.

Yes I feel the same. Our chance was 2014 and we blew it. Even though I've emigrated its heartbreaking to see what is happening to Britain.

Incredibly I read that the Tory lead amongst the working classes is actually 19 (NINETEEN) points!

I've become convinced that the UK is suffering some collective form of Stockholm Syndrome.

I'm thinking the same way, but the polls don't tell the whole story, I know many tory voters, the older and greedier ones are unlikely to change but theres a few, what i would call softer, tory voters who are less happy with Bozo and particularly Brexit than they were months ago.

Again it's probably another tory characteristic that's driving this, self interest, but amongst this group, say floating voters, the switchers who did it for Brexit and younger folk I'd say there's a shift in what they say.

I doubt the current version of labour can exploit that right now.

I'm having difficulty understanding how easy it seems to be for (mostly English voters) to switch between voting Tory or Labour. In my day it wouldn't happen.
We hear all the time people saying Labour aren't a credible opposition. So why does that mean you vote Tory???? What about Liberal? Green? Spoilt paper?
I've never been one to claim pride over much. We're all just people trying to make our way through life. However, I'm going to my grave PROUD to have never voted Tory.

England has been seduced by the same populist propaganda of imaginary enemies, supremacist madness and self entitlement that befell pre WW2 Germany. I know most will brush this off as bull**** but the parallels are there.

Working as I did with working class English males and listening to their "locker room banter" you wouldn't call it bull. I take comfort from the belief that whatever the future holds, England will be the losers.

Vitriol towards her is entirely justified, given that she's trying to steal away the biggest of the colonies that England still owns.

Yep, I'm guessing annexation is on the cards. Scotland is not the enemy, it's that meddling non pro-British government they have, the people of Scotland need liberation and returned to the nurturing bosom of the empire.

They might just round up the dirty nats and march them to Durham, to await their fate from the mighty bozo, ably supported by his knight in shining armour. 😲

I wonder what the point of a poll more than 3 years before an election actually is. Far too early to make any difference as far as I can see.

The Tories set their weekly agenda by the polls, if there are a few more show the same they will react. I think this be the first poll after the "dead bodies" thing. Could just be an outlier as well.

the good lady should have a look at his voting record at Westminster for plenty more material, she could also ask Baroness Davidson what she thinks of Murray's thoughts on Gay marriage
