    Maybe.

But has the journalist done any actual in-depth investigation and asked the pertinent questions? It doesn't look like it to me; they have looked at the public domain, put 2 and 2 together and, (with the help of a dodgy calculator)..... etc etc.

Edit. Another point to note is that this is an NHS Wales contract, ie one over which MH would/should have no influence.
NHS Wales is heavily reliant on NHS England.

I read various articles, the accounts and the file at CH

MH's claim in the Members' Register is that he was gifted 15%. He actually had 20% transferred to him. That begs the question "did he buy the other 5%? If so, how much for?" and the other question "is he lying?"
    Saddo.

It was the "they" reference that threw me as I thought you were referring to the journalist in the link.

TBH, I've read so many different articles I'm not sure who the original journalist is 😆

Safe to say, since HunGate I have always been sceptical of journalists mixing in stuff they don't understand. Sometimes that just makes it easier for the ****-housers to get away with their ****-housery.

Anyways, as you were. Back to the Tories.

According to sky news, there's also an NHS England contract.

I suppose the salient facts are Matt Hancock's sister is the Director of a company. Matt Hancock has shares in that company. That company happens to win NHS contracts, which Matt Hancock is in charge of dishing out.

I’m a bit concerned that all this corruption will mean curtains for Johnson before he can refuse indyref2 and then capitulating and having to campaign for NO. So long as his brass neck remains unmarked, we should be ok though.

one wonders if at some point, the growing evidence of corruption, ignoring of the ministerial code of conduct, etc, that it will become unsustainable to bat away, and we’ll see some sacrificial lambs culled, just to give boris Johnston a way of saying it’s been handled

That will be the beginning of the end. They all have so much dirt on each other, that cabinet meetings must be like a mass Mexican standoff.

And they purged anyone not loyal to Johnson in 2019 anyway. They are totally unchecked and are busy filling the pockets.

Totally agree. Some of the stuff on both "sides" of the various Salmondgate stories was either misunderstood, made up, or opinion stated as fact.

I was just checking your checking.

It’s absolutely mental, isn’t it? England are taking a path that is completely and utterly different to the one most people in Scotland want to take. Even those against independence on this forum must accept that.

I find the direction of travel in rUK quite scary tbh.

The biggest movement in the polls is between centre left voters leaving Labour and going to the greens, lib dems and no vote.

Driven away from Labour by the Momentum types in the party I’d imagine.

As it turns out, his declaration in the Register of Members' Interests is "more than 15%" of the shares. Presumably, this is all that needs to be said.

Doesn't, of course, alter the basic *****ness of the act or the reporting.

Bizarrely, that'll probably add another two points to their lead down south

Last night's Question Time said it was a problem with "lobbying" and also "let's not forget the Labour MP's caught up in the scandal" <(ten years ago).

No mention of the Tory Party but made sure everyone knows that Cameron "wasn't breaking the law per se".

    Pesky lobbyists/Cameron/Labour MP's.

Aye another 2 points advantage to them. No accountability whatsoever.

What do you expect when the BBC is now controlled by the extreme right wing of the Conservative party? An easy slide into fascism awaits.

Already is messy. The more the evidence of corruption, the higher the poll ratings. Collectively, England's voters have lost their minds.

The Tories seem to have written off their chances in the rest of the UK and are essentially an English Nationalist party of the right wing variant. Due to the massive population advantage of England, they know they can still win with that strategy. However, it puts the UK as an entity at risk.

Not sure if you're misreading that, but there are only 3 shareholders. The sister with 40, her husband with 40, Hancock with 20.

Don’t blame the media, the story is out there. It’s the public in England who don’t really care. So long as they can keep blaming foreigners then they are free to carry on.

You're not wrong, I live down here and there was a time when the press went with a story irrespective of public opinion,or lack of it. Honestly.
