We've not get any international class centre halves, and we don't have an international class striker(s) - hence we will always struggle and always be mediocre at this level. That's the difference between a good team and a great team.

Shoe horning both Tierney and Robertson into the side is wrong too - play best positions, and if one has to drop out, so be it. Get some balance in the side.

He plays centre back most weeks and is better than any other option. Take Robertson out and put Tierney at left back and we are considerably worse. We should always be playing 4 at the back though.

Tierney has world class players right next to him at Arsenal, tonight he has Hendry and Hanley.

It's a very difficult conundrum given they are both excellent players Sam - takes me back to the days where we had Miller, McLeish, Hansen, and Narey.........I just think both are much more effective at left back.

I love Super John but that is probably the worst I've ever seen him play. 2nd half been much better, I just think that Clarke sets us up wrong so often. Don't date him at all and it is all so negative and boring
