Looking forward to the new Line of Duty.

Watched the end of Bloodlands at the weekend. 1st couple of episodes were quite promising then it got silly then the ending was just ludicrous. Won't be bothering with the 2nd series when it comes along.
I though it was pish tbh.

Especially compared to LOD, I've been re-watching it in preparation for the new series. Cracking TV.

I saw a few comments on Twitter along the lines of 'it's getting ridiculous and implausible now'.

I'm not sure what these people have been watching for the last 5 series. It's always been utterly ridiculous but that doesn't make it any less watchable. Enjoyed last night's episode and love the way it has been set up for series 1 and series 6 to form a near complete circle.
I honestly don’t get what’s not to like, assuming you like the previous five. It was perhaps lacking the explosive (literally)start you sometimes get in episode one, it was all unresolved tension when they were staking out the house etc, but it had all the wee trademarks that we’re used to. I particularly liked Adrian Dunbar coming out with ‘haud yer wheesht’ I thought my granny was in the room...Never realised that was an ulster thing too.

My only complaint is I think Kelly Macdonald came across as a bit wooden. I’m not a massive fan of her anyway.

I thought Kelly McDonald's acting was pretty wooden to be honest. Of course you're following a hard act after Stephen Graham in the last series

    Was a good start though.

About 6 or 7 episodes in to Your Honour and I’d have given up a few episodes ago of my wife wasn’t enjoying it. It’s getting sillier with each episode. They appear to be trying to replicate the breaking bad formula of knitting everything together but it’s all very meh.

There's a French remake starting on TV here tonight with a comedian in the main role. I think I'll give it a swerve.

Just watched episode 4 here and I am losing the will to go on with it. The acting is awful and the plot has more holes than a sieve.

I agree. She was hopeless and her accent just sounds false.

She might grow into the role as the series develops.

Just binged The Looming Tower today, absolutely fantastic watch albeit quite infuriating at times showing the relationship, or lack of, between the FBI and CIA. Without saying 9/11 could have 100% been avoided, more certainly could have been done.

Just finished it. Pretty light viewing and all a bit of a nonsense.

I spent most of it trying to remember where I'd seen the Scottish guy before. He was in This Life years ago.

Agreed. I haven't enjoyed her acting in any of her roles. IMO very overrated actress.

Did anyone watch 24 hours in police custody? I recorded it so just watching now, literally screaming at the tv. Can’t believe one person can be such a piece of ****.

Kate Williams. You might remember her from Love Thy Neighbour in the 1970s if you're old enough.

Thanks. I had Linda Robson in my head, so at least I had Birds of a feather right. 👍

Thanks for the recommendation - hadn't heard of it but binge watched it all.

Obviously a dramatization based on facts but the warning signs were there.

    So sad.

He is a little ****bag, absolute little scrote of a man, glad the long sentence he got, although those types are never rehabilitated, hope he comes into some proper hard men in jail.

It was boring, but once you get a few episodes in you have to finish it. I managed to finish it this afternoon and episode 10 was probably the best of the lot, although it did not have much to beat.

I don't think I've watched an episode where I've wanted someone to get convicted as much as that wee prick.

I’m so glad others watched it and felt the same. I was going mental just at the wee girl and the old lady. The further it went on, the angrier I was getting, when they started talking about lack of evidence, I lost it, I thought he was going to get off. His crimes were bad enough, but his whole attitude tipped me over the edge.

Watched all 8 eps of ‘The Flight Attendant’, dark comedy/ drama, pretty weird and far fetched throughout but was not bad.

I’ve finally finished off the last season of Homeland, and I thought it was brilliant. Great way to end the show, hope they leave it at that.
