I would imagine Biden will need to isolate now as well? Although they were socially distant, he did spend 90 mins in the same room as him?

When Johnson was ill, as much as I dislike the man and his politics, I genuinely hoped for the best with him.

With Trump I just don't care. I don't actively wish serious illness on him but if it happens I'll shrug my shoulders and not give it a 2nd thought. He has shown no compassion for anyone else impacted by covid and seems so lacking in empathy it borders on the psychopathic.

I just hope he hasn't spread this to anyone else who may be severely affected by it.
Ah...was just going to post something along these lines!

It would be a wee bit strange if this was all a con....would he really want to show a sign of weakness?

Perfect for Trump, behind in the polls and the debates were not going to improve that situation as analysis of the first debate has shown so they will now be cancelled.
I would imagine that Harris v Pence will also be cancelled which is a major plus as Harris would have destroyed Pence.
He gets to lie low for a couple of weeks and then just before polling can make a strong recovery and boost his base, turnout and also gain admiration and sympathy from the wider, undecided voter.

Surprised his wife has it as well. Doubt they spend more than 10 minutes together a week. She is quite clearly repulsed by him.

Hopefully Harris Vs Pence can go ahead. Pence is one of Trump's biggest enablers and seeing him getting destroyed will be very entertaining.

This will work in Trump's favour. He'll be fine and a sympathy vote from dumbass Americans will win him the election.
I don’t think so. Trumps appeal among Republicans (apparently) lies in him being a badass, taking no **** from anyone. An asshole but our asshole, if you like. I don’t think he’ll elicit much sympathy even among his supporters because he wasnt that kind of individual that elicited empathy in the first place.

    Yeah.

People who prefer army men who don’t get themselves captured probably don’t fancy a president who catches himself the virus.

He’ll have to reap what he’s sown one day.

Biden should be making big on the fact that his campaign had a member not only displaying symptoms, had a test and in all likely hood they knew had COVID, yet still went ahead with a fundraiser in New Jersey yesterday.

This isn’t a man you can trust. He put his re-election in front of the health of those not only at the rally, but his whole staff and anyone he came into contact with. Considering his base (egged on by him) are anti maskers. He could be the super-spreader.

He needs to have a bad case. Not trying to be some monster, but it’s the only way he will learn humility and take it seriously. It’s not just him but the lives of millions of anti-masker Americans (and those they spread it to) at stake.

If he shrugs it off as “bad flu” he will double down on the lack of severity.

    J

Army men, who seem to have forgotten that he repeatedly lies about bone spurs to dodge the Vietnam war.
Religious men, who seem to have forgotten he’s a serial philanderer and assaulter of any ‘hot piece of ass’ available.

    It makes no sense.

He's only displaying mild symptoms. Though concerning for a man his age, the early signs point to a speedy recovery. I just hope one of those 'mild symptoms' is explosive diarrhoea.

That's a bit of a common misconception. The severity of early symptoms are not necessarily an indicator of someone not developing serious complications later.

The crucial bit seems to occur around 1 week after infection. Most people get better but some appear to quite quickly deteriorate, even if they have been doing OK.

True, it could develop into something more serious in the coming days. I'm not wishing the man anything life threatening, that's his M.O. He needs to survive so can he can go to jail.

    Hospitalised.

There is essentially a hospital on site at the White House. If he is being moved then it's serious.

Think that puts paid to the notion (which I held) that he was lying. Being hospitalised doesn't fit any useful narrative for him.
