I’m sure Budge in one of her early reconstruction crusades also claimed that hertz could fund testing for all clubs - but only if they remained in the Premiership. That was a few weeks before the Anderson gift came to fruition. I still think that happened by accident after the old bat let slip in her weekly Sportsound sermon that the donation had no strings attached - much to Neil Doncaster’s surprise.

IIRC Doncaster asked her to submit this in writing and it caused a bit of a stir. I’m sure budge went on a rant about it!

He did mention that it was witnessed by a n other. He wanted it in writing to ensure things were done correctly .

It was in her main reconstruction proposal document. Any decent journalist would have identified the attempt to misrepresent a third party's charitable donation as the club's own funds and the hint that the money would only be made available if a decision was made that benefited Hearts commercially as out and out corruption and it would have been back page headlines for a long time. Sadly, we have the exact opposite of decent journalists reporting on our game.
