I watched the 20 second trailer and determined it looked guff....glad I saved myself 20 minutes then

Just finished Young Wallander.

Aside from the random accents and the fact it was filmed in Lithuania and that it’s set in the present (a bit odd for a prequel!) I actually really enjoyed it. It gets mixed reviews but as a detective yarn goes I thought it was pretty good.

Genius, and also taught me something about black history in the Tulsa massacre where black businesses were destroyed to halt the self emancipation of black people and many lives destroyed.

I started watching that too, though I didn't give up - I fell asleep! I did wonder about the accents.

Can't really say too much without spoiling the ending for others. If she has a search for "HTGAWM finale explained" she might get a few things explained that she might have missed (I know I did).

Anyone watched Lovecraft Country? Going to give it a try. Although not sure I can work out if it’s a drama or sci-fi.

I’m 3 episodes in and really enjoying it. It’s pretty mental though! A mish mash of pulpy genre stories, whether horror or fantasy - inspired by HP Lovecraft.

There is a through line to the story but each episode is pretty much a new story too. Each inspired by a different horror/fantasy theme I think.

Defo worth a look but won’t be everyone’s cup of tea
