Being reported if it's 1 or 2 players game will go ahead as planned.
Makes sense although given that they'll be training together and what we know about the delays in the onset on symptoms, it may not be for another few days before others test positive.

I find people often have a look of "Oh blimey, I've forgotten to put my mask on!"
To be fair I've walked into a shop twice and completely forgot I needed a mask. There were small local shops though so didn't even realise until I'd walked out , I find it hard to believe people simply forget in large supermarkets when everyone has them on pretty much.

Sure it appears, or at least a link on the Scottish government website.
There is no such thing as too much yarn, just not enough time.

Think we'll see their next two games postponed.

Where is that being reported? From what I've read it's going ahead as planned as Holyrood are considering football is within a bubble.

When players tested positive down south they didn’t need to do that.

Unless half their team have it, I don’t think they need to be postponing anything.

It's not being reported anywhere because it's just scaremongering opinion.

The games down south haven't been accompanied by a city-wide lockdown and a restrictions on travel though. I think it may be seen as foolhardy for the players to travel or to have football squads from other parts of the country coming to Aberdeen at present.

That was what Sturgeon said prior to the player testing positive. BBC now saying it places the game in doubt.

Did Leicester not play whilst that city was in lockdown?

The news casts doubt over Aberdeen's Premiership game with St Johnstone in Perth on Saturday.

The club say they are "awaiting further guidance from Scottish government and the joint response group".

The Scottish government had previously said the game was not at risk amid the lockdown because clubs are "within a sporting bubble" and are being tested twice a week.

The SPFL had been told the fixture in Perth - all Premiership games are presently being played behind closed doors - will go ahead as planned.

Aberdeen are scheduled to host Hamilton Academical at Pittodrie next Wednesday and, as things stand, that game is also unaffected.

Leicester played when Leicester was locked down.

If what’s being rumoured in some places is true, and a number of the Aberdeen players were out drinking together in one of the named bars then it’s not much of a bubble

950 cases and 49 deaths registered in the UK today.

Highest number of new cases in almost 6 weeks.

Don’t know. But there are plenty teams who have played when individual players or staff have been isolating. And that goes back to June when restrictions, nationwide, were greater than what has been put in place in Aberdeen this week.

Travellers from Andorra, Belgium and The Bahamas will need to quarantine for two weeks on their arrival into Wales as of midnight tonight.

No announcement yet from any other part of the UK but it's expected they'll announce the same very soon.

Those games weren’t played in Scotland though.

I don’t see the relevance. Are games just going to be called off every time someone tests positive?

Obviously, if any rules/guidance have been breached it’s a completely different scenario should all their team need to isolate as opposed to the player(s) affected.

The relevance is our rules and guidance will be different.

I don’t think they are. The Scottish Government said straight away there wouldn’t any issue because of the ‘football bubble’.

If any game is called off it’ll be because it’s a different scenario as opposed to the rules being different. If the players are deemed close contacts of people in a pub they’ll all need to isolate on that basis which could leave the game in doubt.

    Despite the out of date name for the league, the government doesn't seem to have any concerns over Aberdeen fulfillng their fixtures;

The Scottish Premier League (SPL) home fixture on Wednesday 12 August will go ahead. SPL football clubs, and ancillary staff, are currently operating within a sporting bubble, supported by regular COVID-19 testing and robust guidance to ensure the virus is not brought in, or transmitted, through that environment.

What's the current status of the Scottish track and trace app? If Northern Ireland and ROI are up and running we surely can't be far behind? It seems like it would be a pretty useful tool right now.

We are going to have the same system as Ireland & NI. No dates yet afaik.
