I don't think they've noticed - look at Budge's statement: she makes reference to looking forward to "another successful season"...whit??!!
In the championship she means, I think 😁

3 of the 1st 4 fixtures at home with the maroon derby at Arbroath in between. Everything set up for them to get off to a flyer!
Seriously hope they carry on as they left off, imagine a slow start and having to grind out results away from home to recover it lol

Perfect chance for the Duncan's to fill up the Rover and head to Dundee and torch Dens Park as threatened, while all the big boys are away following Dundee at Edinburgh's Championship team on Scotland's smallest pitch.

Just as well Tynecastle has been a fortress for them recently then
You may joke but by the time they play Dundee they'll have been unbeaten there in almost 9 months!

Dundee at home followed by Arbroath (who were a difficult team to beat last season) away isn't an easy start by any means of the imagination.

Hearts benefactors want a family friendly clean tiny that welcomes a good day out. Can’t see them being happy if directors of other clubs are getting abused. Budge called our supporters for calling Mixu a fat ******* ffs.

14 home games with 2 at home against the three teams who were in play off positions last year. Difficult to get a better set of fixtures and should give them a huge advantage next season.
Alternatively, if they don't start well the pressure is on. I'll never forget the feeling of losing at home to Stranraer in 1998. We had to spend big to turn that bad start around and that option won't be available to Hearts this year.

I work with some 16 y.o. guys from Alloa. They can handle themselves against a fifty-something beetroot-faced gammon in a cardigan and wooden rattle.

Does anyone know if they'll be sticking with the gugenpress in the Championship?

After all it's only last season they were all on board with this trailblazing style that was going to revolutionize Scottish football.

Can't see them going back to the style that got them shouting for Robbie Neilson to be sacked.

Whilst it didn’t work against many teams it certainly worked against us at ER

Tactics were down to a tee that night.

I’d much rather they went back to RN’s style of play

That's the most advanced tactic Hearts have used against us in 30 years of me watching derbys. Did it against Rangers twice and beat them too. They were excellent (boke). When it works it works very well but it rarely works and that's why Stendel got them relegated.

Bang on, was the same at Barnsley the last few months, but was oddly held as some footballing saviour, that was the man they were all wanting, that's what they got and look how that panned out

A lot of the time listening to the fans will get you into trouble. The majority of the fans (myself included) wanted Butcher when Fenlon left and that was an unmitigated disaster. Although there wasn't opposition to our signing, Alan Stubbs wouldn't have been the dream name we'd have chosen to replace Butcher but he's now a club legend.

Hearts listened to the fans too much by letting Nielson go in the first place. Then the exciting new face of Ian Cathro should have been discounted at interview as it's blatant within first impressions that he's never a first team head coach. They then didn't listen to fans and appointed Levein which wasn't too bad to begin with but they stuck too long with him and they listened to the fans who wanted Stendel.

The fans also wanted Naismith, Boyce and the likes and now they're stuck in a lower league with bang average players on a high wage.

    Football fans know nothing, generally

It doesn't work against teams who sit back and park the bus e.g. championship teams.

That’s an extremely generous appraisal of Leveins tenure. I’d call his appointment an unmitigated disaster

The Edinburgh derby is one of the most exciting games in Scottish football.

Unfortunately it's going to be taking a break in the Premiership this season with Hearts relegated to the Championship for the new campaign.

There will be a Scottish Cup clash between Hibs and Hearts, though, with last season's competition carrying over.

But that doesn't mean the rivalry isn't there with Hibs deciding to troll their rivals over their lower league status in a hilarious tweet.

The Easter Road side were showing off their new HibsTV team which includes David Tanner, Tam McManus, Joelle Murray and Cliff Pike.

They announced that they would be live for Saturday's game against Kilmarnock at 2.30pm, 30 minutes before kick-off.

And one Hearts fan decided to try troll Hibs when he responded to say:* "2.31pm, first mention of Hearts."

Hibs weren't willing to let him have that one as they got back to him with a brilliant response of their own.

They said: "We won’t be building up to the Scottish Cup tie for a little while yet. Our focus is on the Premiership for the moment."

Don't understand Hearts wanting to boycott away games. For me the 98/99 season holds some great memories as a Hibs fan. One game sticks in my mind, Ayr 3, Hibs 3 in the October - we were 2-1 and 3-1 down but the Hibs fans roared on the team to get a draw (goals from Yogi and Mixu). Hearts are just accepting that in the same position they would rather just lose 3-1.
