Based on that 45 we have no reason not to be using Doig plenty this season.

Any mistakes and he gets a shot. I’d guess Doig, once in the team, will take some shifting. He’s a good runner, like Tierney. Covers the ground with ease.

Agree with all of that. I’m still hoping Stevenson never had a great season last one due to his early injury and never really recovered from that. Early days but Doig could be the first real competition for his place that I can remember.

Can't disagree with any of that. This is the first time I've had a good look at Doig and I'd have no fears about starting him. I don't dislike Mackie but Doig looks to be a significant upgrade. He's put a few lovely balls into the box.
