Germany have seen a rise in new infections. Holiday makers in high risk areas will be offered tests at airports when they arrive home, it's either that or isolation for 14 days.

Their decision to lift their quarantine policy on Spain made absolutely no sense given the current situation, and has left them looking foolish/incompetent (delete as applicable).
I've little faith in either the UK or Scottish government currently.

Deaths in the last 7 days in the UK
Scotland 0
N Ireland 0
Wales 2
England 437
With new cases running at over 700 in England in the last couple of days, I don't think they're getting on top of this virus for a while yet. I see the new cases in Scotland have increased slightly (below 30) but I have more confidence in our track and protect system in operation than I've seen in England.
National interventions in Leicester, Oadby and Wigston, Blackburn with Darwen, Luton, enhanced support in Pendle, and areas of concern in Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Wakefield, Rotherham, Peterborough, and Northampton.
England need to up their game. Let's hope they get their new cases down to manageable levels, or we're in this for a while yet.

It's early days for our track and protect system. With low case numbers to work with, it's not been properly tested yet to demonstrate for me that it's fully effective.
A huge part of it's success is really dependant on public compliance, which still seems to be an issue in England.

10 deaths in a day might not seem very many but it's actually been Australia's highest daily rise so far.
The state of Victoria's also had over 450 new cases today, a rise of more than 100 from yesterday's figure.

Sturgeon described our system as relying on good old fashioned leg work. It might be slightly more labour intensive but it's using tried and trusted methods.Every gimmick hungry yob,

You're still required to quarantine for 2 weeks on your return to the UK regardless of where you are in Spain.

Reading in The Observer today that the Recovery Trial is now focusing on 3 new candidates for treatments: an antibiotic, an antibody, and convalescent plasma. They are taking longer to achieve results due to the low rates of hospitalisation at the moment, but generally the UK is receiving worldwide plaudits for its research projects. It's the one area we seem to have got right.

I'm sure Scotland (NS) would say we were well placed going forward and certainly not complacent.Space to let
