Stockholm Syndrome. He’s held them captive in their own heads for four years.

Levein thinks sports scientists have too much influence.

I forget, how was Hearts' injury record during his time in charge ?
Assuming this was the outcome of his review to revamp Hearts failing fitness regime?

Hearts under Levein were either chronically unlucky with injuries or he wasn’t listening to the sports scientists enough.

Or is he saying that the players just didn’t want to play for him?

Haven't listened to the podcast but some of the injuries will have been down to players exaggerating how bad injuries were because they wanted to avoid the abuse from the fans and were on a high basic to bonus ratio (just one of Budge's many bad decisions) so they were still getting paid handsomely sitting out each week.

    Exactly, from the guru

"I found it quite alien. The difficulty is sports scientists speak to the players and they start to believe they shouldn't be tired and they want to do less."

However in Jan they needed a review after having 210+ players unavailable due to injury across two seasons, funnily enough while Craig Levein was managing them

Complete panic buying just to prove to the court they will lose £8m

She might just achieve it at this rate.

And they won't have lost a penny because Benny Factor and Save Hearts In Trouble are footing the bill.

I don't find Hearts spending money they don't have funny at all. They've been doing it for years and there never seems to be any lasting damage from it each and every time. Meanwhile we have always spent within our means and have gained no tangible benefit from it.

SC, promotion and finishing above Hearts for three seasons in a row. Our dignity. I 'll take that.

Think Michael has been put out to pasture disappointingly as he was the best by miles on the show.

If i was a multi millionaire i would invest in Hibs. However if they were squandering my money i would soon stop any donations. So why on earth does a wise financial benefactor continue to give money to a badly run business called Hearts. It does not make sense he aint some stupid jambo how happens to be minted.

Thats the bit I don’t get. They have squandered a ton of his cash yet he keeps on handing it over. And it keeps getting wasted time after time. No logic to it at all.

Does he own the company? Is he actually donating his own personal fortune or is it from the company. Bet there’s all sorts of tax avoidance schemes attached to it.

Could it be that Budge has ran the decisions that have been taken past him (managers/DOF/signings/budgets...) and he's been in agreement?

When Foulkes gives the 5-1 hand signal it usually indicates 5 scotches and 1 pint of Mad Dog 20/20.

George is and has been a figure of fun on these boards and elsewhere.

Nothing funny about a guy who publicly called for Pope Benedict XV1's visit to Scotland be cancelled saying that the Catholic Church was responsible for the spread of AIDs and he also opposed Roman Catholic schools.

Him and John Cormack would have got on well

He also supported Blair on Iraq.

Saying the Iraqis would benefit from the invasion and be better off.

I knew him slightly during my LP/Trade Union days.
Last time i met him he was staggering out of Jenny Ha's doon The Canongate
A wee session paid on expenses no doubt.

The only time I’ve seen Baron Urine Stained Pantaloons was at Edinburgh Zoo, weirdly. He was walking past the baboon enclosure, barking down his phone in a very loud voice.

    Hes so, so Hertz.
