Being back in training in August is a bit early is it not? Championship doesn't start til October 17th.

They should take an extra month off and build on their millions and millions of pounds they have.

I’m so envious of the position Hearts are in right now.

They are probably favourites for their league next season and you can’t say that about Hibs. Must be because we are forever in their shadow or something.

They can comfort themselves with that thought on a cold, wet Wednesday night in Alloa in January

Hearts, forever using other folks money, if they're so well placed financially and have the community spirit we keep hearing about they'd maybe be aware of the rules around furlough and that taking the cash isn't compulsory.

    Shameless.

They will be doing the company contribution anyway for the players. Other staff though will cost them a bit.

They’ll probably do the same as Hibs, and unfortunately people will lose jobs

A scheme designed to help people get through a time of real crises that would have left millions in financial turmoil. Only right then that hearts use it to build up massive reserves of cash...

I read that thread this morning, what a horrible shower of fans they are, cant believe any other football fans forums go on like they do wanting other clubs to go bust, I like going to the games against them so would not want them or any club to go bust, where would they be without the handouts they are getting. Their fans dont deserve the free money from James Anderson.

They were praying they could beat St Mirren and then call the season so they would be relegated, then praying another club would go bust so they could take their place as ‘club 12’.

    Shameless hypocrites.

I think this is the view of other clubs that is held over there.. not sure why they are so keen to rub shoulders with such a diddy lot

There’s absolutely no doubt that if they were 11th they would be the most vocal crowd in ensuring that everyone accepted the fact that the bottom team still had to be relegated.

Correct. They'd be releasing statements banging on about supporting integrity and how reconstruction wasn't needed.

New version being released, a debut single from local Edinburgh artist, Annie Maroonhoose:

They tried to make a vote at Dens Park,
And they said, "No, um, yes"

    Yes, I've been slack
But Robbie's come back, with Craig in tow
    I ain't got a clue
    And Leslie wants to sue,

They're trying to make us go to Starks Park
    We won't go, go, go

    etc etc etc

A club utterly devoid of class, honour and dignity.

  20. #13819
The third biggest, hugest, bigliest club in Scotland that have won less major trophies than Hibs in half a century. Perennial yo-yo club back for another adventure in their favourite league. Tramps.

Craig Gordon signs for them on a two year deal.

I assume his wage will be subsidised from the savings they made when they threatened ripping up the contracts of the rest of the first team if they didn’t take a cut. Classy.

Heard Levein has the boots polished and is training by walking 20 yards each day to and from the bookies! Expect Rudeboy Satchel, John Blobertson signings to follow shortly!

So how can they afford him with an £8m black hole in their finances?

Find the signing astonishing on two levels.

CG said over the weekend he wanted to test himself against the top strikers. Well, that won't happen in the second teir. No chance of that.

Also, how on earth can they afford this? They appear to be on a reckless spending spree. Again. Hell mend them!!

Surely they wouldn’t have lied about that. Not them.

JA and his pals seem content to continue chucking money at it till Budgie finally finds a winning formula.

Was always going to end up back at Hearts. Only St Mirren showed an interest which seemed to go quiet. He'll be on holiday most of the season against the likes of Alloa. Easy money.

It’s shows how useless they are with cash if they are happy to use a large chunk of player budget on a goalie in the championship.

    Can they immediately furlough him?
Not sure the government rules on this

Sure new cases of furlough finished weeks ago - so if you weren’t already on it back then you’re not getting on it now. I think anyway?

Yup. If they spend their money even semi wisely then their goalie should have very little to do. So surely you’d go for a competent goalie and better outfield players.
