Also at Seafield the pavement is a designated cycle path but you still get people using the road on what is a pretty hefty incline.

If you mean going West to East, I think there's a bit of a bottleneck going over the railway bridge where it's easy for cyclists and joggers/pedestrians to meet head-on. Might be a reason for cyclists avoiding.

If you mean going East to West (which I think is up the incline), say going from Screwfix to Halfords, that'd be two fairly unpleasant road crossings to get on and off the cycle path/pavement. Might be a reason for cyclists not using.

Don't go there every day but surprised you've never encountered a pedestrian or runner there - perhaps we go at different times. I do use the pavement going West-East but generally don't bother on the East-West leg, unless coming from the prom.

Probably just a German thing but cyclists who drive on the road when there's a perfectly good cycle path running parallel to the road. There are 2 kinds of cycle paths over here, ones that are compulsory for cyclists to use and non compulsory ones.

Nope not a German thing. The newbridge to Broxburn road specifically has a cycle and walkway but you still cyclists on the road. The same goes for the fife coastal route from Culross to Kincardine stretch. Really tight road with a footpath/cycleway that goes the vast majority of the route, but people still insist on cycling on the road.

78 I think, lovely stretch. I’m not blaming individual cyclists for it, more the users of the path as a whole. 20mph isn’t very fast compared to a car on a twisty road like that though, I know that road but others who don’t and treat it like a rally stage which makes it more dangerous for cyclists. It’s fun seeing the looks on their faces when they come round a bend and find me in the tractor with 25ft trailer or the header for the combine coming towards them.

The only small upside is that it helped take my mind off what was going on in my gob.

Last year I was having a scan done, I was to be in the machine for quite a while and was asked if i had music i wanted played or just listen to their choice. I said to put on their stuff as smy phone was locked away. Off they went and I'm in this empty cold room trying to convince myself I'd be okay. It was nerve wracking enough but as i lay there listening to Celine Dion singing All by Myself I didnt know whether to laugh or cry

Hahaha sadly it wasn’t even as good as that, it was literally folk trying to mimic the actual singers/bands, so the music was never quite as good, the singers never as good, it was like listening to a school band trying to do westlife
