No, he simply lost voters. He is getting less votes than he got in 2016. His base of young voters are great at turning up for rally’s but when it come to showing up to vote, just like in this country, not so much. Sanders himself has been attacking the party he wants the nomination from, so you can see why the voters turned against him. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
And it is with black voters he is weakest with and nobody ever called them the establishment.

Sanders is losing and that’s down to him given the advantages he has enjoyed as front runner, having more money and a bigger ground operation. Fact is, socialism is just not that popular and if you can’t sell it to democrat voters then he has no chance of selling it in a general election.

I see it as they are looking to avoid inflicting that damage by not wanting him as their candidate as they know he wouldn’t beat Trump.
To me there is parallels to Labour and Corbyn but Labour was too damn stubborn to listen.

Biden represents a boring return to pre Trump days. A centrist candidate is the best bet in my opinion.
I think Biden will be a useless candidate but I think they will keep away from big stump speeches and do lots more interviews etc which suit him better. He’s a known quantity and people seem to like him even if they think he’s useless or don’t agree with his policies.

His VP is going to be pretty important. Has to be someone people can see as President given that Biden is 77 years old.

Bloomberg now out the race and if he’s as good as his word will be making £1.5bn available to Bidens campaign. He’s endorsed him now.

Michelle Obama on the other hand...
EDIT: Apparently he can but there would be a limit on how long he could return as President. They'd have to call an election.Last edited by Haymaker; 04-03-2020 at 03:07 PM.

He can be VP and can serve as president if required.
22nd amendment only states he cant be 'elected' as president again 😁
Might tip Trump over the edge mind since his whole presidency seems to have been based on overturning everything Obama did.

Looking at the sums spent by people who have dropped out it's absolutely mental the money spent by people who, if they were being honest with themselves, had absolutely no chance of winning.
I understand you have to be in it to win it, it's good to have a wide selection of candidates with different ideas etc, but F me, I can't help but think the hundreds of millions of dollars pissed up against the wall for campaigns that are over before they started could've made some real differences in inner city projects across the US.

What I don't understand is why these ****ing primaries have to go on for ever and ever. Why can't it just be a one-off vote from party members?
I suspect money probably has something to do with it.

Because there isn't a US wide democratic party believe it or not.
Its a collection of 50 independent state wide parties who will endorse a candidate(s), using there own differing rules and regulations and then nominate delegates to represent their state nominations at the national convention of the Democratic parties where the real vote then takes place.Last edited by Renfrew_Hibby; 04-03-2020 at 08:06 PM.
