He missed a few to begin with but even as a lone striker his link up play and movement off the ball has always been there. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Fair play.
He’s got the right attitude and is scoring goals. Well played big man.

I called him an upgrade on Kamberi after the Dunfermline pre season game. I think I called it correctly.

He played well without any help in the first half. Decent second half eclipsed by the subs and Boyle who came into a game. A different player from the one I slated on here earlier in the season.

Works extremely hard, good in the air and most importantly he scores goals. He’ll win over his doubters of which I was one.

Took him a while to settle in but I don't think it'll be long before he's attracting suitors if he keeps this up. Is all round game is very good

I got pelters from a few commenting on this very thread earlier in the season for backing him, yip he missed a few easy chances, especially against aberdeen but he was bringing a lot more than just goals then, glad to see him scoring and getting the plaudits he deserves now

Best player on the work for me. Never stopped working.

Really like the big man. Comes across humble & considered in interviews, works hard for the team and is getting his just rewards.
Long may it continue.
If we can improve the service into our front three of Boyle, Kamberi & Doidge and supplement with another (I like the idea of this Nisbet) then we’ll be laughing.

Great player. I had to sit and listen to the "supporter" behind me slating him all game and describing him regularly as a "dope" and a "carthorse". It's amazing what people can make themselves see and believe.
He didn't even celebrate the goal he scored!

Really pleased he's come good, like the guy a lot. Grafter and puts the ball in the net. First name on the team sheet just now.

What’s that now? 11 in 27?
Still got A minimum of 17 games left, could easily find himself on 18+
If he does I imagine their will be some bids from English clubs in the summer.
Hes not a natural finished by any means and I’m less than convinced about his actual execution of most of his shots. However, he’s a poacher and always seems to find himself in the right position which is something we’ve been missing for a long time.
Hes a really likeable lad who appears to be living every moment at the club.
I’m a fan of his and absolutely love it when he grabs a goal.

The big chap has turned from Hans Eskilsson to Hans Krankl to a matter of weeks.

Agree with this, I love the guys to pieces, but even I can admit that his finishing sometimes is a bit off. Like you say, it's his hard work to get into the right positions that gets him his goals. Even last night, he was very alert to follow in Boyle's shot just in case, and it paid off. Think he's a lovely player to have in any side, and long may his good form continue

Has there been a more dramatic transformation of a player in one season at ER than Doidge ?

Boyle was probably MoTM, but you can't fault Doidge for his overall scoring rate since Hecky's departure.
He went from seven goals in five games to zero from the next five... but hopefully that's him back on form again, with two from two

Steven MacLean - 2 goals
Steven Naismith - 3 goals
Conor Washington - 2 goals
Uche Ikpeazu - 2 goals
Total - 9 goals
Doidge - 11 goals.
Amusing.

Newell?
Doidge started ok, then dipped, now is doing ok again.
Newell was written off as useless in September, people raving about his performance last night and demanding he starts the next game.
