Thread: Doidge

    Doidge

Surprised not to see a thread. Another game another goal. How long have we been crying out for a player like that? Good display, even in that horrid first half.

My MOTM. Yes the half time subs changed the game but Doidge was very good for the whole game

wait for the ''but he never strikes the ball well enough or the goals are flukes''

He's the master of the scrappy goal.

Probably the only player to get pass marks for the 1st half tonight and played his part in the improved 2nd half.

Decent night at the office for him.

He's been brilliant since Heckingbottom left. A real handful and never stops running. Has really good control in bringing down high balls and shows glimpses of good strength and good feet.

Brilliant. First half, not one player was close to him when he was doing well to hold possession. Thankless task.

got his goal and I’m general, a great performance. Maybe he can teach Kamberi how to bring a ball down?

MOTM for me tonight as well. Never stops trying, excellent at holding the ball up and linking play and pops up at the right place right time for another goal.

Never thought I would be saying this after the start he had. But it was just that, a start. Playing really well now.

Agreed, Doidge was the only one who got pass marks in the first half. Loved the way he just bounced up when the Hamilton Centre Half smashed him and got a yellow in the 2nd.

I thought Stevenson had a very solid first half.

    The Artful Doidger.
Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

One of his best performances for us, would probably give him MOTM too based on his showing over the full 90 minutes. Boyle and Newell also candidates.

I concur with previous posters: Doidge is a delight.
He has come good after struggling under Heckingbottom.

The only bright spot in the first half was his interchange with Boyle down the right

I thought he was a dud but happy to be proved wrong. Hold up play excellent and lots of nice link ups.

Just what others have said only HIBS player to get pass marks first half

Singled out for some rough treatment but kept his head up and kept bouncing back for more deserved his goal

His all round play has improved leaps and bounds and he really looks as though he is enjoying life at HIBS

    I like him

He was great tonight. As others have said he was the only one in the first half to get pass marks.

His goal was such a typical Doidge goal

    He was my MOTM

    Better than Shankland

Can hold on to the ball as well as anybody we’ve had up front for a long time. Some decent link up play as well.

He's always in the right place at the right time, exactly what you ask for from a striker.

I'm going to change my mind on him. I thought he was very good on Sunday and did well again tonight. He is moving better now and looking sharper. possibly the only player with pass marks in the first half

He was my MOTM too. As other posters have pointed out before on other threads (sorry forgotten who), Doidge is always following up in the six yard box whenever we score. This time it paid off and he netted the rebound off the post. Great to see.

Great movement off the ball, creates space, works well with Boyle in particular.

Good contribution every single match. How can people not love The Vegan Nish? Works his socks off, always finds himself in the best positions and doesn’t lose heart when it doesn’t come off?
