    Horrific.
He didn't get sent off IIRC.

Remember the straight red 'tackle', certainly.

There's a song about him on their "song book" thread and I'm not making this up...

He is our Stendel, our Daniel Stendel

He got us happy against the sheep

    You'll never know Dan

    How we might love you

So dont take our Daniel away

    Words fail me

I can only assume a lot of the posters on there are in the pay of Hearts because much of the guff posted surely cannot square with the views of most 'normal' Hearts fans (assuming there are such people). Either that or there's a high proportion of their fan base who aren't the full shilling.

Five points adrift at the foot of the table. Worst points tally (by a distance) of any top flight team in 2019, a new manager who has taken one point from his first five games and who disappeared home for Christmas before a Boxing Day derby gubbing yet they're singing his praises?!

Were Hibs in a similar situation can you honestly see any of our fans reacting like this?

He wasn't sent off for that tackle but should have been.

Cant remember who he hacked down but the ball was gone and he went straight for the man around 5 seconds too late. My memory says he got sent off for it.Perhaps. He didnt.

    It was McGinn he "tackled".

    He was booked.

    As tinpot as tinpot gets.

Mind you, it was a really, really, really good draw. Probably the best draw ever.
And Sean Claire got a standing ovation when he was sent off. He is now compared to the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold given a couple of runs down the right hand side.

Zico Cochrane? He is better than McGinn, as the song says. Some of his sporadic sub appearances for Dunfermline Athletic are the stuff of legend. He did a 720 degree rabona followed by a semi reverse pike with tuck in the alloa derby last week.incredible.
And that will be the derby that the mighty Wasps part time players pumped them rotten!!! Hairy Cockring will end up somewhere like Dundee or Falkirk. If the Tarts are relying on him to keep them up they are in a worse state than we think. Beautiful!!

It's worse than I remember it. Baffling that it wasn't a sending off.

It just goes to show how utterly ***** they’ve been for so long that half decent performance against a weakened sheep side is being hailed as huge improvement for them. Tough times for our pink chums.

It was the Celtic game that highlighted that for me.

I had an argument with a Jambo that night as he genuinely felt hearts played well, they were dreadful. The fact a few of their midfielders ran around like headless chickens was enough for them apparently.

It defies logic, to be honest.

The thinking that the Aberdeen performance was thanks to Stendel working his magic.

Now..Hearts were gash against us, marginally better in the second half than they were in the first, but gash nevertheless.

That was on Thursday. The Aberdeen game was on Sunday - how much of an impact does anyone think Stendel could realistically have over the Friday and Saturday before the game?

Would it be significant enough to completely change how the team perform and to give them a total understanding of the tactics etc?

Or is it more likely that the players, having been roundly jeered off the park (or told "don't dare look up" ) have had a reaction and raised their game against a team who even Levein managed a draw with?

Can't get much more blatant a red card, typical of those dirty cheatin' bassas. Potentially could've seriously injured McGinn and was so late he obviously wasn't going for the ball.

Will be interesting to see if Stendel has them continuing with the dirty style or if he has them trying to play football. Don't remember them being too dirty on Boxing Day so maybe it will be the latter.

It’s desperation. They’ve become so used to watching dross that any chink of light is being seen as a sign they’ve turned the corner.

To be honest I think they are at the desperation stage and have turned Stendel into some kind of Messiah. They will literally let him away with anything.

The best thing is that this whole thing is being filmed for a tv show. This could be the most hilarious tv since Faulty Towers.

No mention of the article over the road, but there's a really cringe thread because he did an instagram post wishing them a happy new year. Quote from OP "I think we may have a cult hero in the making here"

He managed a draw... at home... his 1st point in 5 games... and he's on his way to being a cult hero?

Looking forward to the reaction when the Sun article pops into their limited conciousness
Anything that allows them to put 1 and 5 in the same sentence and they are happy.

They should just replace the next Only an Excuse with this documentary - it would be even more cringier.

Ran like Levein’s bowel in a mid-80s Dundee cludgie.

'Cochrane was the worst player on the pitch against Dundee and we only improved when he was subbed off' was a comment I liked from the Pars message board.

It's actually 16 games without a win. He failed to win any of his last 11 games as Barnsley manager and has started with 5 games without a win at Hearts.

Sadly I suspect his remarkable run is going to come to an end when they play Airdrie in the cup, however normal service should resume a few days later up in Dingwall.

Aye but St.endal is going to be focussed entirely on the league so allisbarry. By that I mean he's after his first league win in a very long time.

    Keep believing.

You’re clearly forgetting about the draw they got in their last game.

What a draw it was, incredible.
