Their wiki page makes reference a couple of times to a capacity of 20,099, with some reference to an article from 2017.

I don’t know how wiki works but surely this can be edited to the correct figure with a link reference to the safety certificate?

Anyone got an account they can use to edit? 😀

I have tried several times. Stating that no source was available for the figure quoted.

I cited the official attendances in sold out matches.

My entry is usually removed within two hours. Somebody is very protective of that 20,099 figure.

Posted quite a few times that our family yam, who is a bit of a nerd, set out to work out the capacity from their own website and any other sources he could find.

He's been adamant for ages that it's 19250 plus whatever extras they can count from hospitality etc.

Boy's a big teamer but on this occasion he just maintains it's now a better facility than anywhere else.

To comply with their Health & Safety obligations and insurance cover they can't totally kid on about capacity so the 19852 will be right but they can use Wikipedia and old wives tales to subdue the "simple fans".

To most observers, two stadiums of circa 20,000 give or take 600 seats would be classed as similarly sized stadiums, with 600 seats in a 20,000 arena not really making a huge difference to stadium size, or meriting any boasting.

Not to Hearts though, who have a rather odd and unhealthy obsession over bigness. Had it been confirmed that they had a few more seats than Easter Road then you can guarantee it would be mentioned on a weekly basis how their ground is the biggest in Edinburgh. Bigger this, biggest that - they really are oddballs.

Not once have they mentioned this and I don’t suspect they ever will. I have however brought this up in conversation with a few yam associates over a drink or 2 and the crap they have spouted about more expansion etc is hilarious.

I've just been comparing capacities, it doesn't bother me one bit that Pittodrie has 400 more seats than us.

Even though Pittodrie is past it's best and has a number of downsides (e.g. uncovered seats), Aberdeen fans can rightly be proud that moving to all-seater was a ground breaking change and away ahead of most other stadia.

Hearts, on the other hand, are simply playing catch up and have nothing worth bragging about.

Their stadium is no better, or larger, than ER and that hurts them

What you have written is FACT so in a nutshell no one will mention any of the above, especially the capacity.
