Wait until he finds the post it notes stuck to his windscreen and gets instructions from an assistant footman named Daly who is also a double agent working tirelessly for the sacked manager who isn't really sacked and still hides in the shadows plotting his triumphant return.

Whose word are Hearts relying on to prove they don't owe Barnsley compensation? Stendel's? We can perhaps assume so because last week the Barnsley chairman was bemoaning the fact nobody at Hearts seemed to have heard of a phone and were insisting on communicating by letter. If Hearts are putting their faith in Stendel's words, then Barnsley's revelations about how he went behind their back to try to engineer a move to another Championship don't paint him in a good light when it comes to a straight answer.
This could run for a while - and will hopefully dominate tomorrow's press conference when they finally unveil him.

I’d be amazed if there is any negative comeback for Hearts. For Stendrl himself maybe, but not Hearts.
The worst thing from a Hearts point of view is that his track record isn’t brilliant and he may be a chancer.

So let’s get things straight here. The delay in him becoming manager was down to the negotiations with Barnsley over compensation that we now know never happened. We now also know that while he was manager of Barnsley he was trying to get himself another job while at the same time heading down the pub to tell the Barnsley fans how committed he was to their club.
I know I’m just a bitter peg selling hobo, but I think the truth is that this guy is a snake that was holding out for a better offer. Now he’s here he’ll charm the pants of the Duncan’s and say what they want to hear while all the time looking after himself.

I've heard of lions led by donkeys but this is the first time I've heard of donkeys led by a snake.
Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

Para 4 "..led to removal of Mr. Stendel as Head Coach.." Doesn't say sacked, terminated, resigned or similar. Removed from post, but still employed by...is my interpretation.

Levein must have had a hand in the recruitment process after all. It's well known Harry Potter can talk to snakes

Stendel, who led the Tykes to an impressive promotion from League One last season, leaves with the club second bottom in the second tier, having won one league game in 11. Adam Murray, the club’s under-18 head coach, steps in as caretaker.
“Barnsley Football Club confirms that it has separated from Daniel Stendel with immediate effect,” read a club statement. “Adam Murray has been appointed caretaker manager.”
Stendel took charge at Oakwell in June 2018 on a two-year contract and the former Hannover coach ensured an immediate return to the Championship, his team finishing runners-up to Luton.

TBH, I really don't like the sound of Barnsley's owners. They've said two different things in two statements then. No wonder he wanted out and was talking to someone else.

Hecky couldn't wait to get out of Barnsley too despite doing a better job than Stendel. Something fishy at that club

It is no stretch of the imagination to think a guy who would breach his contract of employment would also mislead a prospective employer about his current contract situation.

It’s completely obvious to me that he had to get himself on the sexual offenders register before he got the gig, that’s where the delay came from. He’s clearly satisfied the criteria and is being unveiled tomorrow.

Sounds like there’s similarities between this case and when we signed Zemmama.
Think we lost that case, be interesting to see how far Barnsley take this.

Since they sacked Levein they've allowed themselves to fall 10 points behind Hibs while fannying around being rejected by Adams and Ross and chasing sssssStendel. Absolutely tremendous.

I’m finding the whole thing ‘pleasing’, I wonder if Hibs knew about these contractual issues and that’s why we gave Stendel a swerve. Or maybe it’s because Jack Ross is much better and we got our 1st choice😉

Hearts’ PR machine the EEN are in overdrive right now.
Some of it is ****ing laughable and seems to be glossing over the fact that the guy was let go after 1 win in 11 games
If he’s a failure these articles are going look even more ridiculous.

Not what some think over on the other side... An ambitious and spot on appointment.. Really??
-
10-12-2019 08:53 AM #178
Hearts know there will be a contractual dispute but had to rush the appointment after they lost AGAIN at the weekend. Hence no picture with the joining statement and just a late Iphone pic of him at the arrival gate at EDI
This will cost them a few bob that's for sure. All this "we did nothing untoward" chat is just bluff. Its not like they would enter a tribunal saying they were wrong....
Pony up mystery benefactors there is another incompetency levy to pay!

It's noticeable that Ann has been demoted all the way down from Queen, to Mrs, without even a passing nod to Dr.
How long till the open letters start saying they know where she lives?
