Not quite the same given that Allan was frozen out. JC has had several chances and hasn’t done the business.
Allan was rubbish at Dundee and Rotherham.

I’ve already said I forgot about Rotherham.
Was he ‘rubbish’ at Dundee? I’m not so sure he was.
    Every gimmick hungry yob,
Digging gold from rock and roll
Grabs the mic to tell us,
    He'll die before he's sold.

Fair point, I just seen them as being **** and Allan being part of the team that was ****. I don’t think Dundee fans cared that much he left either.

Cummings is a badge-kissing, hun cretin.

Hard 'no' to him ever returning to Easter Road.

    Thanks for that.

I've never heard them referred to as that before.

Great club Forest, would be good to see them back in the prem.
It's an old name that's become popular again - The Garibaldi Reds. When I began work in the 1970s I'd hear it from older guys that had been fans in the 1940s and 1950s.

There's a lot of evidence to say that the club was founded by Scots. way back. In the early days they played bandy and shinty which are certainly not English games. It's thought that a group of itinerant Scottish workers in Nottingham at the time clubbed together brought their games and formed what became Nottingham Forest Football Club.

He hardly stood out in a way it would grab the attention of other clubs had he not been brilliant before though.

Yes, let’s get Jase back please.

He’s not ideal, but we really need a goalscorer.

We know him, he knows us, what’s the problem with even a one year deal to test the water?

We ain’t Celtic or Sevco , we can’t afford a one year deal to test the water. We need a striker who will do the business from day one.

He signed a year loan with Dundee and had done enough for us to want him halfway through it. On his Dundee debut he was man of the match and set up 2 goals. In his last match for them he came off the bench to set up the equalizer in a 2-1 win and completely turned the game. Neil McCann was desperate to keep him and only agreed to cancelling the loan after Allan told him he wanted to come to Hibs. He wasn't poor for Dundee at all.

And Doidge looks that player? We’ve got him for more than one year like it or not. It’s a massive gamble.

    Cummings, isn’t.

He was on the bench plenty before he came back here. So much the fans questioned what McCann was playing at. McCann was happy to get Simon Murray, who helped keep them up.

In the 24 league games before signing for us he either started or came on in 15 of them. He missed 4 of them through injury so wasn't even in the squad and couldn't play in the 2 games against Celtic. McCann was desperate for him to stay and again, only agreed to let him go when Allan told him personally that he wanted to come to Hibs. Source: Neil McCann .

Sorry ladies, I won’t be able to reply to all comments. To those that criticised my assessment of Doidge, I hope you are right. I hope he is not ( what most of us think he is)

Injury kept him from playing much at Dundee.
