I genuinely don’t think we’ve got anything left in the budget to do anything else after Middleton comes in. Vela must’ve been expensive.

Not sure how much the guys are on but we have managed to loose a fair few during the summer, most of them being loans although I'd have thought we were paying a chunk of their wages. Ambrose and Milligan are off the wage bill and again id have thought they were on a decent wage.

I would hope our budget could still stretch to a few decent loans or players who are currently unattached.

I’d be surprised considering we were trying to get McNulty and Omeonga back but were just outbid.

No way has he blown the whole budget already. Maybe it’s a subtle way of saying to the board to give him a bit more

Be very surprised if anyone else comes in, what we've got is what you see.

I don’t know, I just feel like the way Hecky said it today was quite genuine. He’d like to do more but our financial situation hasn’t changed.

I did think before that we would still sign a few more but i’m becoming more pessimistic about it now.

That's how I took it as well. The first time he mentioned it I didn't think it meant anything, this time sounded different though.

We need a goal scorer. Very short on people who can take half chances.

There won't be anyone after Middleton.

I think it is a bit worrying as we are very light for strikers, defensive midfield and very reliant on Scott Allan staying fit. 11 out including some big earners and 7 in. Surprised we are done but looks like we are

Fully grown adults who accept that they don't always get what they want in life, will be fine.

All others will be in uproar.

Are you 100% certain there won't be anyone after Middleton? Not doubting any inside knowledge you may have btw

If we're playing one up front 3 strikers isn't light at all.

Sorry.no, that is all.just opinion with zero knowledge or certainty so hopefully proves to be wrong. I'm just going by the vibe Heckingbottom is giving off and what he is sayinng. Whilst I think that leaves us light (too light) especially.up top for some reason, call it gut instinct, I think Doidge will end up being a superb signing scoring 20 odd goals this season and surprise a few people

The preferred formation might be 1 up but it won't be a one size fits all. We will have to go 2 on occasion

I'm the same as u think we could do with another 2 in after Middleton but dont see it happening now...Hecky keeps reiterating that we are done and he seemed genuine this week. Guess we will have to hope we steer clear of any further bad Injuries and reinforce in Jan

Still don't need 4 strikers for the odd occasion we go 2 upfront. We might play Murray and Allan together on occasion as well, doesn't mean we need a 3rd creative midfielder.

If Hecky sticks with one forward then our current ones are fine. If another one joined one would leave.

Was wondering that myself, no mention of anyone linked with us, on trial or training with us? Don’t suppose it’s a member of staff?

Im sure if it’s a player they’ll be identified with the media pretty sharp

They were outstanding last night tbh.

    Half that performance worries me.

But ive been worried about ibrox b4 and we have got a result.
Listened to bits of game on radio and they were raving about four quality goals and the movement off the ball
But also said defence went to sleep for both goals
But you got the impression that they would go and score a fourth after conceding the two and they did
But will just need to see what happens Tain forecast all day Sunday

Fair enough. I do however personally think 3 is too light for a season challenging at the top end for Europe and cups, whether it is to cover for loss of form or the inevitable injuries. I haven't looked but wonder how many strikers the other teams in the league carry. I think The Rangers as usual probably have about 10 for every position whereas Celtic don't have many, I can only think of Edouard and Griffiths.
How many do Hearts have? Uche, MacLean, Naismith, Washington, Keena, Wighton
    Aberdeen - Cosgrove, Wilson....
I know the amount of strikers other teams have is neither here nor there and is no barometer, I just wonder how we all compare.
Only 3 strikers and 1 injury and you have no option to change things up, chase a game by bringing on a striker, bring a good player on when one of them is playing and not having a good game.
I'd love to see us bring in Cummings to be that other option too

To really challenge we need a goalscorer, a fox in the box, someone who can score ugly. McNulty/McLaren fell into that role. Kamberi can score if put through or use his pace. Shaw and Doidge don't fit the bill and don't look to be prolific at this level. I think Cummings could do it.

How can you say that about Doidge after one league game? Aye he missed 2 sitters last week but far too early to make that assumption imo

This place is getting worse, doidge hasnt even played a full league game yet but doesnt look prolific at this level. But you would like to see cummings in who wasnt exactly great with the rangers in this league or any other league except our championship, Like a few others it's time to say bye bye to the site for a while

Still 3 weeks to end of the window. Would be amazed if there wasn't a couple more coming in after Middleton.

Cummings did well against Hearts and Rangers. Think an indication he could do it at the SPL level. A fit and settled Cummings would perform better than he did with Rangers. I hope I am proved wrong but I think the SPL is a level to far for Doidge.

The Net has a variety of views and a fans forum for debate so don't be surprised that everyone does not fully agree with you.

Agree any other day he scores 2 goals and everyone is happy. I blame FIFA and the instant gratification generation.

I'm personally not bothered about what Cummings has done at Ibrox or anywhere else. I have seen him playing for Hibs long enough to know the player he is with us.

I wanted Scott Allan back even though he was rotten at Rotherham and never played at Celtic.

Cummings only good at Championship level except he has scored plenty and against The Rangers, Hearts, Dundee Utd, Aberdeen. Decent teams as far as Scotland goes. A fit and focused Cummings scores goals for me, natural goalscorer.

I actually like Doidge, think he will surprise a few and start banging them in. Still.think we need a 4th striker.

    And rightly so!

How dare the manager get his players in early and then tell us the truth that we're not looking to recruit anyone else!!!
