I see the The Rangers manager is in the press this afternoon saying Morelos is up for sale, but any clubs wanting him need to bid "big money and bid early" if they want him, as, in Gerrard's phrase "one million per cent Morelos will not be getting sold late in the window".

My money is now firmly on this becoming a deadline day sale at £3.5m to a reasonable English Championship club (a Derby or Middlesboro)

Yeah from reports he sounds great. I just can't remember feeling so strongly about wanting to sign a player I haven't seen before and was gutted when Hibs had said they'd pulled the plug on the deal.

I think the longer he is there and refuses to train, the less S'thorpe will try to hold out for a decent fee. Also I believe the English transfer window closes a month today? Let's hope we can sort something sooner rather than later as it's not a position you don't want sorted before the season starts.

Back in the old days both clubs would see sense speak to the player and his representatives and agree an undisclosed nominal fee
