Both Shaw and Murray are 1st team members on the official website so i don't consider them development players.
Interesting given how little Murray has played for the first team. Conversely, Mackie isn't included which surprises me.
Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

Porteous is the one i am worried about.
All that popping the knee back into place and playing on crap was madness.
    Fingers well and truly crossed.
At the sponsors night he described it as a cartilage tear. Dissolvable stitches and a managed return

Surprised about Mackie too l, but I think Murray has played more for us.

    I suspect it's positional based.
Mackie was a crucial back up at left back last season.
Fraser Murray is a good option in centre mid where we had decent cover.

Which makes Mackie's omission all the more strange.

Murray would have played a lot this season but was injured.
As regards Mackie, his name is likely to be moved into the first team squad for next season.
I don't think any more of the young guys are close to being added at this time although posters like Billy Whizz could make a more educated guess.

What is kind of exciting is there is scope in the numbers and budget to bring a number of players in on top of what we have. In years gone by there would always be squad fillers and deadwood hanging around. The 14/15 that are there are a solid group. Infact you could make a very competitive 11 out of the contracted players

    Marciano
    Gray
    Hanlon
    McGregor
    Porteous
    Stevenson
    Horgan
    Slivka
    Mallan
    Allan
    Boyle
    Kamberi

    (I know that's 12 but pick 2 from the 3 CB's)

That's a great starting point. With some good kids coming through in Shaw, F Murray, Mackie.

6 or 7 quality Heckingbottom signings would see me very optimistic.
Agree, there is a good core of players there and with the right additions there is the possibility of a very good squad. I hope that a good few of those additions are permanent deals though. Imo loan deals are quite short term-ist and result in having to do a fair bit of re-building every summer. Id rather the loan market was used to get in only a handful of players who maybe add a bit of quality that we couldnt otherwise afford to supplement the rest, keeping the main core of the team consistent over a number of years, similar to aberdeen and, to an extent, killie have done recently.

With a new manager coming in, a few older and fringe players moving on and a bit of cash in the tail from mcginn this seems to me to be a summer where, if recruitment get it right, we could set ourselves up to be a team challenging for europe consistently over the next few years. I am excited to see if Heck can pull it off.

I think the most obvious answer to the big "Mackie not in first team on club website" conspiracy is that Hibs don't really update that part of the website all that much, or forget players sometimes.

He'll be in the first team next season, probably as our backup LB.

I'd like us to nip in ahead of Hearts for Naismith. Single handedly dragged them to 6th this seaon. Would do a job with better players around him here.

I'm sure a lot of us used to pull the heck off of it but personally I'm too old for that nonsense now. Seems like a game of golf is more fun nowadays.....

Is this boy Jackson any good?

His stats and age seem to not match up really.

    Where does he play?

    He’s a central defender.

Sure I read he was highly rated when he broke into the team and was linked with big money moves, got injured though and never really won his place back.
