Very clear - again - that Scotland wants to remain in the EU. The rest of the UK (maybe NI apart, I don't know) is willing to accept it. Time for the lib dems to pick one or the other.

Turnout estimated at around 37%. That's a lot of wriggle room for the main losers

Not the way the seats are working out though - Fauxrage'll be claiming clear mandates for all his policies.

I can't help but feel that tonight is the start of a big push for No Deal.

It pushes Tories to no deal, Lab to remain.

It would in a sane universe, but it's equally likely to push Labour toward no deal.

Could we be looking at both the government and the opposition facing leadership battles while Brexit rudderlessly drifts towards a no deal?

Unarguable difference in voting in Sco compared to rest of GB, but our new BBC Sco channel chucks it in before (Western Isles apart) the results aren't all in. It's early for breakfast but, duly telt, I'll eat my cereal.

His policies. The ones he said he would make up after he got elected. Clear mandate for them now.

quite a turnaround, had the highest 'Leave' percentage of any scottish council area in the 2016 referendum @ 49.9%, folks must have been doing a lot of hard thinking in the last 3 years, like most i suppose

Don't want to piss on the parade but...

SNP vote share at the 2017 GE was 36.9%

SNP vote share in the Euro Elections looking like 37.9%, one council still to declare.

So despite 3 years of total chaos is an increased vote share of 1% something to celebrate?

More people still voted to Leave the EU than voted for the SNP.

The pro Indy parties in Scotland, the SNP and Greens still less than 50% of the vote. About 45%, the same as in 2014.

If this is a 'landslide' for then SNP with a vote share under 40% on a turnout of also under 40%. Then what would you describe the No vote in 2014 of 55% on a turnout of 85%. A massive landslide?

Hope you all have a good night.

Adjusted for civility! Between snp, greens and Lib dems, Scotland has resolutely voted remain. Again. You'll tell us why we have gladly accept leaving the EU though.

It has voted Remain yes. I voted Remain. I was just making some casual observations.

But people were told a vote for the SNP would stop Brexit, so what's the plan between now and October to fulfil that promise?

Some folk are more interested in the English shires, it makes them feel big.

The points lost on them, that young Scots have died due to the current UK set up of governance, and the inability to see a way out. Power is everything to them.

They don't really care, as long as they can redesign their vocabulary, and throw the R away.

    Michael Gove, anyone.
I'm in the shires and totally disagree with you. Glad to be an obstacle to your very generalised comment
