I always knew that computers running Apple or Linux systems are more secure than windows platforms but don't really know much about the phone side of things. On the car side, you really can't get better than an old Volvo estate - built like tanks they were!
I remember someone telling me about something they'd seen (may have been on Top Gear) where they were crashing old Volvos estates into modern little Peugeots that were designed to crumple.

The modern cars absolutely kicked the old Volvos' asses for safety.

The old Volvos were the best of their time, but car safety has really moved on.
