The first transfer window in god knows how long we can actually look forward to and talk about who we’re gonna get in rather than teams wanting our players.

I've heard that Sunderland are after Kamberi, Porteous, Hanlon and Marciano. Oh no, now Celtic and Rangers are after them too. ****! They've just all penned a piece in the DR pleading with Hibs to let them go to their "boyhood heroes (whoever they are currently)". Ah well. Next season eh.

It wouldn't surprise me if Kamberi left this window

I don’t think so. We will want a significant amount for our investment which we won’t get so will keep for next season. A more creative midfield will hopefully suit him.

I hope you're right, he's been a huge disappointment this season.

Kamberi will be fine once Allan and some other guys are giving him the ball.

He's not going to displace Rocky. He's not anywhere near the same level as him and he'll want to play first team football.

Can't see him staying but it probably won't be for financial reasons!
He’s as good, if not better than Marciano as a keeper. Marciano is good at shot stopping but Bogdan is better at coming for crossballs and his distribution is better.

Exeter City supporters seem to think their keeper is coming to us in summer. Christy Pym.

Marciano's stock is high right now and I can see bids coming in for him this summer. Really good keeper, composed and consistent, however his distribution at times is terrible and puts us either on the back foot or concedes needless possession (aimless kicks to SDG with alarming regularity at Ibrox for example) - no doubting however he is a fantastic shot stopper and one of our best goalies over recent years. He could easily play at a much higher level.

I like Bogdan a lot - seems to have overcome a lot in his career (in terms of mistakes at previous clubs), stuck at it and become very consistent. Would love him to stay but feel he may want another chance down in England or abroad at a higher level.

The keepers have been really good the last three seasons and long may it continue that we do well in this department.

Wonder if we will take another Man City youngster on loan like we have done recently?

Whilst I’m excited and looking forward to the transfer window I’m also nervous.

Heckingbottom seems to have done well signing players from lower leagues on the cheap, I just hope he doesn’t expect players from England to come up here and stroll it.

Tbf to him, I don’t think he will. I think he will have seen the quality of the league and is too smart a man to think they would stroll it.

Hope the guys were after Hecky and Stockdale have good knowledge of and are bargains.

Guys like Pym and Devitt seemed to have excelled in league 2.

Grimmer been good in league 1.

Jackson been at good clubs but struggles for games lately.

Two young Scottish strikers were looking at.

Don’t think the 2 young Scottish players will be for the 1st team though

Forget about Bogdan. He won't be in Edinburgh next season unless he's playing against us for another well known team in green.

By better at shot stopping, do you mean he wins his team valuable points with crucial saves that Bogdan isn't even capable of making?

Any goalie can learn how to catch a ball and pass it. It takes a special goalie to be able to pull off the stops Rocky does.

Both have made some game winning saves this season Dexter - Bogdan's performance v Asteras away was terrific and he made some wonderful saves that night second half.

All about consistency though and for me too many easy shots have slipped past him.

Whereas Marciano does it on a weekly basis.

Marciano has been unreal since PH came in, even before that. Better goalie than Bogdan for me

It's an area of the pitch that is unforgiving if mistakes are made. Both are good keepers.

I actually thought Marciano was to blame for the Hearts equaliser recently - he had the option of playing the ball wide from a bye kick, yet played a straight ball down the middle to nobody (think it may have been aimed at Horgan who was up against a 6 ft 2' centre half) which was immediately put down the throat of Daz (think it was Souttar that headed it back). Yet in the aftermath folk were asking why Daz didn't do more, why Hanlon rushed in, why SDG was out of position. All could have been avoided if Rocky had distributed the ball better and put width on it.

I do agree with you though. Marciano is very consistent and a very good keeper overall.

Both are excellent and better than we've had for a long long time.

I would imagine he’s got something agreed somewhere (or close to it) but will be waiting on Ayr getting through/put out of the play offs for it to be finalised. Can’t see him getting a much bigger move than Hibs based on his form in the second half of the season, although he has been hampered by injury for large spells.

FWIW someone posted recently that Robbie Stockdale has been at quite a few Ayr games recently.

Thanks MjJo......I wouldn't be offering contracts to any of them and I'd imagine Hecky will think the same. We definitely need better if we wish to progress
I believe Spector has been offered another year..

Rocky is very settled in Edinburgh. Unless Celtc come in for him I can’t see him moving.

The fact that McNulty has gone off the boil recently might make it easier for us to get him. Griffiths' first loan at us was hit and miss before the all conquering second season.

We won’t pay his current wage and he certainly is not going to take a huge drop soanother loan is possible.
