Its a tad far fetched but, enough mindless violence to keep you reasonably entertained, nowt special though.

I've watched the first episode of American Horror Story thought it was great pretty scary stuff so hopefully a return to form.

There's a new series on Netflix called Designated Survivor. First couple of episodes have been very decent.

I watched the second episode last night. I'm not sure about the setup, with it trying to be like a documentary, I'm finding that a bit weird. I see what they're going for but don't think it adds anything to the show. But, when it's just doing the actual story, I'm really enjoying it.

Luke cage seems good. 3 episodes in and realy enjoying it. A bit like jessica jones in that the marvel side of the story is kept to a minimum.

If you've not already watched it give Boss a try, outstanding performance from Kelsey Grammer.

It has to go through the usual introductions of characters, plot etc which my Mrs always says without fail "this is slow!" But as Matty says it's got potential. I think it's gonna be brilliant.

Judging by some of the other things you've liked you should have a wee go at Orphan Black, a bit of an acquired taste but, I'm quite enjoying it.

Just watched episode 1 and superb

This is gonna be a bit hard to understand with the same woman playing 4 or 5 different characters

I'm watching it online via 123Movies and the picture is perfect but the subtitles on screen are nippy as hell !!

Yeah, it's called Discovery. Very excited.

    Set to start in May.

I agree. I think saturation was a problem at the time Enterprise came along though. Twelve years is a good break.

There's actually been some good space-based sci-fi recently after a major lull.

The big test for Discovery will be how to make it fresh and maintain that sense of the unknown given that it's set before the original series. Enterprise had that problem and trying to use the "temporal war" concept to get around it never really worked for me.

I didn't mind Enterprise, but as you say setting it before the original series brought with it a few problems. I didn't realise the new series was also set before the original. I'm guessing they are going to try and tie it in with the recents Star Trek films.

From what I've read, I don't think they are. I would've thought that would have made more sense.
