    Full scottish

Any recommendations for the best Full scottish breakfast in Edinburgh?

Im often up reasonably early on match days and like to get something into the stomach before a few pre match beers. What do my learned friends recommend?

Nobles in Leith is pretty good, bit pricey but good stuff. Spoons obviously, cheap and cheerful (or sometimes not).

The Kings Wark at the shore used to do a good breakfast although I've heard mixed reviews, at best, about the food in general there lately.

    Has to be with surely.

Lorne, tattie scone, black pudding and haggis or it's not a Scottish imo. Full menu should be:

    Lorne
    Tattie scone
    Black pudding
    Haggis
    Mushrooms
    Tomato
    Fried eggs
    2 buttered rolls

Porridge as a starter. White or fruit pudding as optional extras. Baked beans can gtf.

Just about to launch a new brunch menu, including a cracking looking Eggs Benedict.

Snax Café round the corner from Gillford arms gets good reviews for their breakfasts. I've only had a filled roll from there and it was good!

I had a great breakfast last weekend in Partick through in Glasgow if you're feeling adventurous.

Things I miss about Scotland (1) - all of the above

Full agreement on the baked beans as well. ******g cheap tomato gloop getting its manky self all over the prime bits. Get rid.

I don't do it often, but there's nothing better than cooking a full breakfast on a Sunday. Everything just how you like it, especially the cup of tea.

    United we stand here....

Smoked fish at breakfast is genius.

I rarely have it as Mrs PB doesn't like snoked fish or the smell so it's a rare treat that I look forward to.

Did you sample an ulster fry scouse? Fried pancake and soda bread are a good addition to the meal imo!

Literally just back,it was superb and I will be back next year dine the Titanic,Crumlin Road Jail,Bushmills Distillery,Giants Causeway too. The people of Belfast were very welcoming and the murals on the Shankhill,Falls road and surrounding areas were things I had always wanted to see and photograph. Crammed a lot in but had a great long weekend.

Glad to hear it mate. I looked up Brights and I think I'll head there for a fry next time I'm up in Belfast, it looks good.

Brights was okay, definitely case of quantity over quality that generates the good reviews in my opinion. Sausages were cheap, bacon not cooked enough to my liking even though I asked, done the job though and wouldn't put me off going again.
