Main frustration of the day was the amount of people with their camping chairs making it difficult to move between stage and bar/toilets. I'm not used to events with so many families and gig goers of the older generation! it was all a bit ....civilised and the arena could've used more bar and food outlets. Apparently there were 8,500 there yesterday compared to c3,000 last year though, so I can cut the organisers some slack there.
Good day out even if it meant I missed the game yesterday

By way of comparison I saw the show Let it Be earlier this year and those guys weren't a patch on the Bootlegs. McCartney in particular in the Bootlegs is spot on.
Re your comment about hearing about upcoming gigs, are you on Twitter? If you follow your fave artists you'll see upcoming dates as they are announced.

Was at Glasgow summer sessions on Saturday. Now apart from some real fannys who enjoy launching small glass bottles into the crowd it was fantastic! The frontman from Cage the Elephant is like a wee Mick Jagger. They were very good. Wolf Alice were decent. Fall Out Boy were excellent but Biffy were ****in incredible!! What a show they put on! Simon Neil can write a song that's for sure. Great night and getting Ma tickets sorted for their gig at the Hydro end of November. If you've not seen them I highly recommend it.

Autumn is always a good time for gigs. Thus far, I've booked the Alabama 3, the Wave Pictures, Afro Celt Sound System, the Filthy Tongues and Ezra Furman .

Tickets for Primal Scream at the Usher Hall in November and Blossoms in December. Going to Vegas in OCtober and it's a toss up between the likes of The Pet Shop Biys, the 1975 Britney Spears, Elton John, or Charlie XCX!

Think I'm helping with the merchandising at the Edinburgh gig. My pal is best pals with Martin Metcalfe's other half.

Anyone interested in 2 tickets to see Of Mice & Men in Glasgow next week? We're off to Spain and can't use them!
PM me if you are.Madness, as you know, is a lot like gravity. All it takes is a little push.

Next year is shaping up to be a ridiculous year for gigs. Either confirmed to be touring, rumoured to tour or expecting to release new material which 99% of time means a tour are:
Depeche Mode (20+ gigs for me each tour)
U2
Simple Minds
The Killers
Adam Ant
Stone Roses
Crowded House
INXS
Tears for Fears
Erasure
Oasis (currently evens with the bookies to tour in 2017)
Any betting folks, a few quid on Depeche Mode as an outsider to headline Glastonbury may be a sound investment. They were due to play a few years ago but decided not to extend their tour past the winter, meaning they'd have a 4 month gap between gigs so pulled out. I suspect they may be on the radar for next year as their tour is due to start in May and there's no Glasto the following year when their tour will be coming to an end. Michael Eavis is a big fan!

Stone Roses at Hampden will be a great night. Hopefully they won't get sold out on Friday.

David Gray is at the Usher Hall in December. Doesn't say which DG it is, so I reckon it's worth a punt!

Anyone know what happened with Kraftwerk tickets yesterday?
Only place that seemed to have them was the Usher Hall but they sold out. Then they started appearing on StubHub and massive prices. Now today tickets for all shows in the UK apart from London have been removed from StubHub...
Are measures being taken to stop touts sellling the tickets? Might increase my chances of gettign a pair if touts have bought them, can't sell them at an inflated price then get a refund at the box office.
Wishful thinking..!

They stone roses prices were ridiculous. Was up for it but cant see how they can justify prices more than 50% higher than heaton park and glasgow green.
