Haha good read, you can sense the fear in his voice. The penny has dropped. They are broke, King cannot stump up even mediocre fees and will struggle to strengthen. The line about them being the best team because they beat us 4-2 is comedy gold, I guess Falkirk are the best team cause they beat them 2-1. Standby for the fan revolt when we start eating away at that points gap.

Respectfully, Warburton has been a very loyal employee so far. He does what he's told and Dave King must be delighted.

However, Warbuon must be concerned that this gig will damage his reputation. Already overlooked for the Fulham, Reading and QPR jobs, if he can't get Rangers promoted this season his stock will fall even further.

Will he continue being loyal if he doesn't get to sign any players in January? Or will he start pointing the finger at others?

I was/am doubtful that he was a contender for any of those jobs. Struck me at the time that Level 5 were throwing a bait out there to try and get Rangers some compensation for him.......
