Just been reading JohnJames blog on that nonsense piece in the Record by some guy called Mooney.

It was the bit at the end that got me.

According to JJ , King was invited down to Sports Direct H Q on the pretext of a meeting with Ashley.

Instead of Ashley, the balliffs were waiting and presented King with the summons to appear at the High Court on the contempt charge next month.

If that is anyway true, its absolutely brilliant
Funny how the The Rangers pay King's legal bill but not Green's

It would be like a scene in the movie the Goodfellows, when wee Tommy goes to the meeting with the Bosses to get made.

    And gets a nasty surprise.
    GoodFellas, if you don't mind.

What does this mean? He was found guilty of contempt of court in SA in 2013 - is that what this says? (I don't know).

If so does that mean he shouldn't have been fit & proper by the SFA?

Don't know but it may sway the judge in the contempt case he faces next month.

He got a sentence of 3 months in jail, suspended for 3 years on condition he does not commit any further contempt of court offences.

Now, how committing a contempt of a British Court whilst in South Africa will be seen is ... well ...

    More fees for lawyers !

Do we really want to see King emptied from Ibrox ?

He is a very divisive character and a crook as well, but he does seem to have got the bears on his side.

Long term it would be better for them if he is shown the door, but short term it could lead to all sorts of splits and falling out.

We are only interested in short term , so get him out !

Totally agree - last thing needed is King's departure right now !. His ongoing presence can only increase the damage he's doing to them long term. And not just to the Hun as there will be large numbers at the GFA s*****n themselves at the eventual outcome of all of this - perhaps a total purge of all might even result ?. I definitely reckon a line will at some point, be crossed, and being the 'honourable men' they are, will start grassing on others to save themselves !!

Love the new Warburtons advert on TV for some new crumpet, it features all the Muppets, can't be long before someone does a photoshop of Warburtons Muppets!!

Mr Warburton on the advert even looks like the Rangers manager, ha ha.

Probably the same wine cellar that Jim White was fawning over in the recent Sky puff-piece.

I think he must be on a bonus scheme for using the phrases:

    'For the avoidance of doubt'
'A loss-making business without a line of credit'
'Mr David Cunningham King' (and all other names spelled out in full at each mention)

How this guy self-describes as a journalist is beyond me; it must have been murder editing his book about the hun.

Phil alluded to the possibility that the wine has since been repossessed by the SA taxman.

Ozy, I have in the past been a tad critical of your apparent negativity re our team. Can I just say you're playing an absolute blinder on this thread, much more pleasant to see you destroying Sevco! Great work!

King doesn't strike me as a guy who would go quietly. And why should he, after all he has done for Rangers? They are nothing without him! Far better to go down with the King than have Ashley pulling the strings.

When our team get back above the yams you won't hear a peep of negativity from me. If we could even just get back above Ross county I'd be happy. I am happy with the progress we have made this season though. Long way to go though.

He really is a piece of work, Dave King. December should be interesting.
Strange the media never mention that he has a suspended jail term hanging over him.

Why would BDO waste creditors money on something that does not increase the size of the pot at all and would only change the distribution of funds within the pot?

    That would be my view.

However, that piece says that BDO have been in touch with SDM. Maybe he is funding it.

Yes, the Herald had this story today as well. James Doleman thinks it's not as clear as the papers are saying ...

BDO have to get "leave to appeal"from Court of session and then have case accepted by Supreme Court. Not automatic. The Supreme court only hears cases: "Of the greatest public or constitutional importance." No guarantee they will accept BDO appeal.

BDO will decide which judges are allowed to sit on the bench.
