I'm not supporting what Rice did but people, sometimes, deserve a second chance - his fiance gave him one by all accounts. I don't want to sound like I'm supporting people who beat women because that's not it at all. I also understand that professional athletes are held to a higher standard than regular people. If there is any silver lining at all, it would be that they could use Rice, and people with similar off-field issues, to educate the people that they influence the most.
I don't really care that much, just playing Devil's Advocate.
I'm also of the opinion the Hernandez should walk into the Pats first team upon his release. ;)
