This Italian guy would have delivered a masterclass in relaxed cool if he hadn't fluffed the 10 points.

    And that's a wrap.

The introduction of semi-finals has really filtered out the properly bizarre entries, and the competition is significantly weaker for it. Still good fun.

For me it's the twins + butter churn on video to the Icelandic soundtrack. A winning combination!
Poland would have won it if they had done it like this....

The Russian twins sounded like the Pierces.
There is no such thing as too much yarn, just not enough time.

Might have had to talk about football if we'd went there

Still preferable to that drivel. I quite enjoyed last years thread, this one was sadly lacking.

I prefer my trannies clean shaven.
Austrian with dubious facial hair conquers Europe, now why does that ring a bell?

I was going to start a thread on this, but a search revealed there used to a thriving annual thread!

My sister-in-law in Newton Mearns is a massive fan and used to host a Eurovision party each year to coincide with her birthday, which was always a lot of fun. She revived it this year for the first time since Covid so we headed through after the Hibs game. BBQ with a big screen featuring FA Cup final and then Eurovision. We were already buzzing after being at Easter Road so the whole sunny family vibe coupled with a fair old amount of booze meant that everyone got right back into the whole bonkers experience. A thrilling finale incidentally with Austria pipping Israel to the title at the very last moment. Weird but wonderful conclusion to the final day of a memorable Scottish football season!

I think watching it at a party, with accompanying refreshments, definitely helps!

UK entry back to getting 'nul points' from the public again after nearly winning it a couple of years back.

I imagine the organisers are breathing a sigh of relief that Israel finished runners-up as it spares them the headache of hosting it in Tel Aviv next year!

nonshinyfinish seems to be the biggest Eurovision fan on here judging by this thread. Is that someone who still posts? Ditto Sergey and Peevemor.

Thanks. I actually rewatched the absent friends tribute tonight and noticed that sadly the poster known as Peevemor is no longer with us.

He was on TV at every Eurovision for years, he's made plenty from it. He has a proper job too, was head of marketing in the care sector in London when I last heard from him.
