Could be true because there's definitely less people actually going than season tickets sold. It seems a particularly daft way of doing things though as they are not only taking the seat away from potential walk ups 18-20 times a season but they are also guaranteeing those seats will be empty. The more of them that do this the more empty the stadium will look.

Why would they not just donate the money to one of the many, many, many different schemes set up or buy the ticket and give it to a Yam friend who maybe can't afford it.
Don't you have to provide some sort of proof to get seats at student prices? What actual student could afford to buy tickets and not use them anyway? I'm afraid I don't follow their logic....but then it's yams we're dealing with

I liked this thread a lot better when there were genuine rumours of those despicable, slimey, cheating, yam fuds getting liquidated.

I liked it better when they had the Point penalty and were miles behind the rest of the SPL......... oops

I assume they are buying them but never collecting them. I would be very surprised if this was particularly widespread. It seems Yams like to come up with convoluted ways they are keeping the club going but that are difficult to disprove. Every time I hear or read of any of these daft wee schemes it just makes me realise how unsustainable they are as a business.

OK, I'm now convinced they're going to get relegated.

15 Games gone and they've only made up 1 point on 2nd bottom (who have a game in hand)
And.... they were always going to have their best results early in the season

The longer this season goes on, the more futile their position will be, the more likely they are to have further thrashings. By the end of the season, most of these Yams will be wishing they'd entered Admin before the end of last season and gone straight to jail.

. Considering how small their squad is I wouldn't be surprised if injuries and fatigue mean a few matches have to be postponed.

The only squad rotation Gary Locke will be seeing this season is when the children he manages start spinning round on the spot to see who gets the dizziest.

I got told yesterday that BDO have told the Lockster that they will consider ALL offers for players and NEED cash from all sources to keep things going. Expect Walker, Pattetson an Holt to move on for 5 figure sums.

I reckon it could be February before their points total hits above the temperature in Scotland.

Wrong kind of leak for Locke.

    Must've been BDO. ;-)

So Bob Jamison has ditched his plan to put in a rival bid for the shares, im still not sure what his motive was but it makes me wonder if someone else will make a bid now and burst the baw for the FoH?

Buy them as a job lot, and play them in the under 20s, develop them slowly, like Locke has said they should be. We'd be helping Hearts out.

    Possibly Massone? But unlikely.
I'm beginning to accept defeat in that there definitely won't be any liquidation but there most certainly will be a relegation... Deserved as well.

Interesting tidbit, apparently the fans have taken to buying student tickets online, then not actually going. So they are paying money but not wanting to watch.

How true that is or how many are doing it I don't know...

it's maybe the HWU hertz appreciation society, i mean..they do like giving freebies to the gimps don't they

The fixtures up to end of January will be key to determining their fate. They have:

    ICT (H)
    Celtic (A)
    Killie (H)
    St. Mirren (A)
    Hibs (A)
    Partick (H)
    Well (H)
    St. Johnstone (A)
    Ross County (A)

County have a few difficult games:

    Well (H)
    United (A)
    Hibs (H)
    Dons (A)
    ICT (A)
    St. Johnstone (H)
    Partick (A)
    United (H)
    Hertz (H)

Don't think County will get many from those games above unless they up their performances. Killie have a few winnable games coming up.

Wonder what's the chances of them being (mathematically) relegated BEFORE they actually achieve a positive-point in the league ??.

I was speaking to a pet yam yesterday. He was always optimistic although reasonably grounded with reality. There was always the possibility of relegation; still having a club after listening to the news was always a relief.

    Step change yesterday.

Him and his yampals now accept relegation is a certainty but they don't think they'll be around for it!!!!

Wow, the bit that surprised me was they now openly think that despite the CVA going through [provisionally, I reminded him] it is becoming more likely they won't make it to kick off next season.

Never heard such chat from a jambo. I almost felt sorry for him.
    Space to let

    Almost being the key word.

But they are a shabby bunch these days, even the 5-1's seem either tired and defeated, or fraught with a certain desperation.

The muppets who *****ed their Christmas dosh on the share issue must be doing cartwheels right now.

Come on now Bob, this got them in to the shareholders meeting and allowed them to vote through the CVA.

Oh now wait, hang on, BDO didn't send the letters out in time so they got shafted. Oh well.

You know the phrase "Once bitten, twice shy" what does it mean when you've been bitten 7-8 times?

You mean the comment about doing the same thing over and over, each time expecting a different result?

But what did Einstein know? He wasn't a regular at the Yammodrome.

Too early to rule out liquidation for definite. They are inching towards a purchase as a going concern by FoH but also running out of cash.

McHattie is awful! The fact Hearts are trying to hype him up so much is indicative of how rubbish their batch of wonderkids really is.

I just don't see those fuds running out of money though.
If they were ever to get THAT desperate for money again I imagine they'd probably just get the begging bowl out. As much as I hate that shameful sinking ship I begrudgingly admit their fans have saved the SS Yam when called upon.

Why do you think they won't run out of money, when everything is pointing towards that happening?

For example, next season they will still have the same operating costs, but lower income. It's clear they are struggling to get by this season.

The only way they can get out of this mess is a cash injection. Who's going to lend them money?
