Indeed. Why would these organisations, who are supposed to be going to roll over and accept whatever BDO offers them, need an extra week?

    There's only one reason....................

The UBIG admin. has got to find the Yam shares first. Vlad must have left them in a drawer when he bolted.

A MEETING of Hearts’ creditors scheduled for tomorrow at Tynecastle has been adjourned for seven days at the request of Ukio Bankas and Ukio Bankas Investment Group (UBIG).

Both Lithuanian companies claim they need more time to assess the situation ahead of a proposed vote on a Creditors’ Voluntary Arrangement (CVA), which would allow Hearts to exit administration if accepted.
If Banderson is right (yeah, I know) then the fact that it's both companies' liquidisers and not just the recently appointed UBIG one that want the delay is good news indeed.

Going to try and not get too excited over this news - for us business jargon illiterate folk, this must put a dent in the CVA bid?

It's quite possible that UKIO and UBIG have already decided what their decision is and that there is no point in flying to Edinburgh for a meeting today at considerable cost only to repeat the whole process next week.

Agreed, it's not like they could come to a joint decision as they are of course in no way connected .......

Now that one developer has shown the initiative to jump into the process I would imagine others will be doing their sums with a view to doing the same - could get a bit messy.

You'd wonder why BDO hasn't already asked for expressions of interest, or somesuch, before now. The fact they want Hearts to be a going concern (to maximise value to creditors) should only mean staying at tiny till the end of the season IMO.

They did, with an ad in the Financial Times, right back at the start of the process.

Suspect the developer rumour is pish. Delays were predicted on here before this rumour started, although it does appear to tie in nicely. In any case a random jambo on twitter is hardly a reliable source

Me too, but this delay coupled with the resignations from prominent Muppets at least raises an eyebrow.

Maybe, but there's also the possibility that it's sinking in just how cheap this land is going for.

I'm not sure buying the assets for 3 or 4 million would be that bad a gamble.

Especially with council looking to pump money into the East end and other areas in Edinburgh on the up. With tram stop at Murrayfield there is potential for the Vlad Hotel complex to be realised which could be a sound investment at today's prices.

Any prospective developer of Tiny should factor in the profit to be made charging Hibs fans wishing to have their photos taken amid the rubble.

£20 a time for 10 minutes on the bulldozer.

I'm sure it's nothing to worry about and it only means that the FOH CVA has gone from being 'inevitable' to '95% certain'.

I'm also certain that it'll all be sorted out tomorrow...err, sorry, tomorrow week on the 29th, when I fully expect the FOH CVA to be approved and end of administration and all the uncertainty surrounding the club.

Initially, I thought it was a red herring but it is now building momentum and could actually be a full-on shiny silver slippery herring, looking for a slight tear in the BDO net
