A MEETING of Hearts’ creditors scheduled for tomorrow at Tynecastle has been adjourned for seven days at the request of Ukio Bankas and Ukio Bankas Investment Group (UBIG).

Both Lithuanian companies claim they need more time to assess the situation ahead of a proposed vote on a Creditors’ Voluntary Arrangement (CVA), which would allow Hearts to exit administration if accepted.

If Banderson is right (yeah, I know) then the fact that it's both companies' liquidisers and not just the recently appointed UBIG one that want the delay is good news indeed.

It's quite possible that UKIO and UBIG have already decided what their decision is and that there is no point in flying to Edinburgh for a meeting today at considerable cost only to repeat the whole process next week.

You'd wonder why BDO hasn't already asked for expressions of interest, or somesuch, before now. The fact they want Hearts to be a going concern (to maximise value to creditors) should only mean staying at tiny till the end of the season IMO.

I'm not sure buying the assets for 3 or 4 million would be that bad a gamble.

Especially with council looking to pump money into the East end and other areas in Edinburgh on the up. With tram stop at Murrayfield there is potential for the Vlad Hotel complex to be realised which could be a sound investment at today's prices.
