This would be hilarious. And he's a decent defender. I'd take him.

Did you not see the article in the Snotsman about David Murray and his sugar-coated spiel abiut Gardensworld plan for the green belt? Damn him and damn the council it this is an escape route.
Doubt Murray will be lashing out any big bucks in the near future, his company made a huge loss of £97 million in the last year.

Sir David Murray's firm in £97m loss

Sir David Murray, the property and metals magnate who owned Rangers football club, has reported increased losses in his most recent accounts.

For the year to last June, his Murray International Holdings (MIH) made a pre-tax loss of nearly £97m, some £10m more than the previous year's loss.

Sir David had to carry out major repairs to his finances, and had to sell off part of his metals business during the year, at low prices.

I honestly couldn't care about the employees that lost their jobs. I have far more sympathy for the country who's economy has been robbed to the tune of 85 million quid. I hope that horrible little club die but only after their ganting fans have forked out for season tickets.

It sounds like it could be a good deal fewer than 500 confirmed sales according to Bryan Jackson on Radio Scotland this afternoon. He said 'close to 500 fans had attempted to buy tickets' but that they were having problems with the credit card companies (no surprise for a business in administration) and had had to suspend credit and debit card purchases. Cash or cheque only for now. He didn't say how many sales had been completed before the finance companies stepped in, but it's not what Hearts need when time is of the essence.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pinched the above comment from EN which may be nearer the truth that around 500 have attempted to buy ST's but have had problems paying by CC. I would imagine quite a few of those have not bothered if they have to foot it down to Tynie and hand over cash.

That's harsh. Doesn't matter who it is no one deserves to be jobless. They haven't done any wrong. You obviously either haven't been laid off or not been around folk who have. Can take a horrible toll on people.

Jackson (administrator) on Sportsound this afternoon specifically said "500 season tickets".
To be honest, I wouldn't expect him to say anything less. He's not going to turn round and say "Actually things aren't as rosy as they seem, we only sold 200 season tickets" after all the positivity about the 500 number. He needs to encourage customers, not put them off.

I feel more sorry for people who can't get jobs in the first place, because the Government is being robbed out of money that could otherwise be used to create more job opportunities.

Exactly. This 500 sold has not changed in the last good few hours. A Figure they seem to be clutching onto! How many times will the fans fall for the constant slaver put their way?

I don't think they'll ever stop believing whatever they are told. It's genuinely scary how they justify it.

Was at work yesterday and overheard one of many 'allisbarry' minded yamsters talking to my boss - (also a yamster) about the ticket sales and if they would be purchasing one. I just find it bewildering that they never seem to bring up the reality about anything. Just constantly shy away from it and stoat about as if it's a normal thing. Strange bunch likes!!!

I went back into their shop about 3.45 pm, queue of about 20, two staff selling the tickets. both seasons and single match day tickets being sold by the looks of it.

Today would be the big rush day with Yams determined to show everyone they are fighting for their club and entice a new sugar daddy to come in.

I expect things to slow to a trickle next week but I'll keep my eye on developments, as Mcleod street is my new way home.

Certainly hope so but even in the medium to longterm.
It may be longer than he's prepared to wait. Here in south Edinburgh there's a bit of greenbelt that various developers have tried to get permission to build on. It's been going on over 15 years now. Developers have got fed up and given up (don't know current situation, but Ian Murrays predecessor was involved in fighting it).
People power does work (to an extent in some cases).

The problem is it could just as easily discourage fans. I know plenty of Yams who, particularly after the share scam, have just had enough. They love the club but want to wait till it's out of the hands of the current owners and administrators before throwing any more good money after bad. If they keep this ludicrous 'we've already sold 500' malarkey going, plenty are just as likely to complacently think, 'they'll get 3,000 easy, crisis averted, no need for me to bother.'

Very true sum up of what could happen.i will pee myself laughing if they dont sell enough and they cant guaruntee their fixtures

cant think of any other business that would receive such pity from their own administrators, the press and rivals.....

the press seem to be doing a fine job of biggin'-up that sorry lot.

Shame Dundee, Livingston, dunfermline etc didn't receive similar exposure.....

Between 500 and 3000 will be the number of death threats received by Bryan Jackson if liquidation happens.

    Wait and see.

Am not a big fan. Think he has played 10 good games in his life if he is lucky. He has only played 35 games in his whole career. He got slated from the Blackpool fans and he only played 6 games. He was not that good against us for Hearts and was dire in the cup final v St Mirren. Still got some potential of course but am yet to be convinced.
